Job Summary:
The QA Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day quality assurance activities at the Vita Green manufacturing site. They will work closely with the QA Manager to ensure that all products meet or exceed established quality standards and that the facility maintains regulatory compliance. The QA Supervisor will lead a team of QA inspectors and technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance management to maintain a high level of quality throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control systems and procedures to assess incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods
- Monitor production activities and collaborate with the production team to identify and resolve quality issues in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify compliance with quality standards and regulations, and report findings to the QA Manager
- Analyze quality data and provide recommendations to the QA Manager for improvements in quality performance
- Provide training and guidance to QA team members to ensure consistency and accuracy in quality testing and documentation
- Serve as a point of escalation for quality-related inquiries and concerns from internal and external stakeholders
- Stay informed of industry regulations, standards, and best practices in quality assurance, and communicate relevant updates to the QA Manager
- Continuously look for opportunities to improve quality systems and processes, and provide suggestions to the QA Manager
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a quality assurance supervisory role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of quality management principles, such as ISO 9001, Six Sigma, or lean manufacturing
- Proficient in using quality control tools and software (e.g., SPC, FMEA, CAPA)
- Effective communication, leadership, and team management skills
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards
- Preferred: Experience in implementing and maintaining quality systems in compliance with PIC/S GMP standards
