Location: HKEX - TKO Shift: Standard - 40 Hours (Hong Kong SAR) Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Worker Type: Permanent Job Summary: The Post Trade Development & Support Team is responsible for the design, implementation and application support of HKEX's market systems, including trading, market data, clearing and settlement, listing systems as well as our internal corporate and surveillance systems. The Development & Support team comprises a number of specialised application teams that have in-depth technology knowhow of HKEX systems to support the on-going maintenance, troubleshooting, enhancements of HKEX systems and the development of next generation HKEX platforms. Job Duties: You will be responsible for the development, implementation and the application support of the Post-Trade Clearing Systems. You will have the opportunity to work closely with business end users and managed various mission critical platforms for HKEX. You are a people manager, leading a group of talented software engineers. Responsibilities: Lead and manage all phases of application life cycle for post-trade application systems, and carry out review of associated deliverables and evolution in adherence to standards and policies Set, interpret and drive strategic direction, and deliver technology that meets post trade business requirements Plan, review and implement system development and technical delivery through requirement definition with key business stakeholders, collaboration with other application teams and infrastructure team on common system and architecture impact Oversee related production support and exercise vendor management to attain robust system availability Foster continuous technology advancement and development of the department, as well as lead people management agenda including performance management and development Undertake assignments and projects as assigned by department head Requirements: Degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT or related disciplines Minimum 15 years' relevant experience, of which at least 10 years at management level Ability to define solutions that solve complex business problems Solid experience in managing and/or developing large scale mission critical systems on open platform Knowledge of industry-wide technology strategies and best practices Knowledge and experience in OTC derivatives, Fixed Income & Currencies and On-exchange cash and derivatives domain; or Post-Trade domain is an added advantage Knowledge of risk and controls landscape, ensuring company-wide standards are met Keen understanding of project control and budget management Strong interpersonal, communication, managerial and people management skills Experienced in motivating large organization and teams Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese Company Introduction: Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) is one of the world's major exchange groups, and operates a range of equity, commodity, fixed income and currency markets.
