Head of Risk ( Quant Fund)

Responsibilities: Risk Management Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies to effectively identify, measure, monitor, and mitigate risks associated with the fund's investment activities. Portfolio Risk Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of portfolio risks, with a specific focus on global equities portfolios. Utilize advanced risk models and methodologies to assess and evaluate risk exposures and provide insights to optimize portfolio performance. Systematic Strategies: Possess a strong understanding of systematic strategies and their associated risks. Apply this knowledge to evaluate and enhance the risk management framework for these strategies. Collaborative Partnership: Provide regular risk assessments and reports to the executive team, highlighting potential areas of concern and offering bespoke risk solutions when necessary. Treasury and Broker Relations: Advise the treasury department on risk-related matters and collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective risk management practices within the fund. Manage broker relationships, negotiate terms, and handle any risk-related issues that may arise. Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with relevant regulatory requirements and ensure the fund's risk management practices align with industry best practices and regulatory guidelines. Requirements: Minimum of 8 years of experience in a Hedge Fund or Sell-side Prime Brokerage risks, with a focus on portfolio risk management. Strong expertise in global equities portfolios and experience with systematic strategies is highly preferred. Deep understanding of risk management principles, methodologies, and best practices within the financial industry. Proven track record in developing and implementing risk management strategies that align with business objectives. Proficiency in utilizing risk models, statistical tools, and other risk analysis techniques. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with senior stakeholders and build relationships with external parties.
