The Role Responsibilities Strategy Treasury Modelling & Platform is driving a multi-year programme to deliver scalable and integrated platform with forecasting and analytical capabilities. The ultimate goal is to provide to business a holistic view of their balance sheet and how various regulatory and internal constrains affected their profitability. The outcome of this work will have a direct impact to bank's return and comprised of the following: Enable business contribution analysis for entire balance sheet across key metrics Enable forecasting capability and provide forward looking view for business / Treasury to optimize their returns and managing risks, under different scenario settings Key Responsibilities We are looking for a talented individual to play a frontline role, who can integrate deep business knowledge, excellent critical thinking and interpersonal skills to drive optimal analytical / forecasting solutions for the bank. A successful candidate will work closely with various global Treasury / business stakeholders to understand business intents, translate into clear requirements / user stories, communicate business scope & methodology to project teams, and ensure that final deliverables are fit-for-purpose and generate concrete business benefits. A successful candidate will work closely with various global Business, Finance and Treasury stakeholders to understand their needs, translate into clear requirements / user stories, derive, and agree the scope & methodology, and working with data engineer & developers to ensure that the final solution is "fit-for-purpose" and integrated with the exiting BAU processes. Maintain relationship to key global Treasury / business stakeholders to understand business needs / pain points, synthesize information to articulate business requirements and intended business benefits. Translate high-level business needs into user stories, recommend feasible and scalable approach to stakeholders with clear business benefits (incorporating data/system constraints and platform capabilities). Accountable for the overall methodology for the simulation tool, considering and balance factors such as business requirements, complicity & accuracy, implementation time, performance, etc. Working with Modelling team to build the POC, validate the model & results and ensure the outcome is aligned with business expectation. Actively participate in Agile project squads, clearly communicate business requirements / methodology to modellers, data engineers & programmers Drive the standardization and scalability of methodology and functionality, while accommodating for customization needs (e.g., key products / markets) with justifiable business benefits Review and sign-off any methodology change before its implementation by the squad Ensure methodology is mostly consistent and aligned with other squads on overlapping areas (i.e. NII vs Capital) Review and validate solution prior to implementation to ensure that it is fit-for-purpose (i.e., aligned with agreed business methodology to deliver intended outcome). Work closely with Product Owner / Scrum master to provide business inputs for strategic planning and prioritization. Ensure proper transition from project deliverables into robust BAU process with minimal incremental BAU resourcing asks. Estimate and agree with stakeholders on BAU scope / budgeting as needed Our Ideal Candidate Requirements / Candidate profile Deep business knowledge 8+ years of proven experiences in Treasury / Finance from top-tier banks and / or consultancy firms. Experience in, IRRBB, GIM / NIM and FTP ideally with a focus on forecasting and attribution. Strong business understanding in balance sheet structure, financial data, and regulatory metrics. Degree in Finance / Economics / quantitative fields. CFA / FRM designation is highly desirable. Experiences with analytical / visualization tools (e.g. Dataiku, MicroStrategy, Tableau, SAC) is highly desirable. Communication & Stakeholder management Self-starter; work through ambiguity to recommend business methodology / analytics options based on materiality and best available information Foster strong trust with stakeholders; be pragmatic when handle challenging stakeholder conversations Adjust communication styles to suit audience needs (e.g. seniority and business vs. technical domains) Strive optimal balance between quality of delivery and effort/time spent. Experiences working in Agile setup, multi-cultural team, and wide range of stakeholders is essential.
