Job description The role is a group finance function in a fast-growing international Investment Management Firm that will be responsible for financial control and leadership of a material segment of the business. You will have the opportunity to lead and drive performance and value for the business. *Responsible for entire business unit accounting operations for pan Asia business. Providing directional leadership to overseas based subsidiary teams to deliver *Balance sheet substantiation, ownership of legal entity control, financial reporting and analysis including review / prepare journal entries for period closing to ensure accounting treatment complies with IFRS *Prepare financial statements for audit based on IFRS and coordinate annual audit and tax filing *Prepare management reports and account closing information including cost allocations, detailed financial analysis, variance analysis, costs analysis, etc *Prepare budget and forecast for business units and group cost centres and analyse financial and operational results *Liquidity management: prepare cashflow forecast, manage cash flows such as funding for operations, collection of fees receivables, intercompany fund transfers. Approver in e-banking payment process *Review in-house corporate tax computation and review corporate tax returns prepared by external service providers. *Review tax returns for overseas companies, e.g., GST/VAT returns. *Change management: Support the Group Finance Controller through assisting in system enhancements and other project-based work Requirements * Experienced legal entity or Group Senior Manager/FC who is a CPA with at least 8-10 years of accounting experience gained from the financial services industry or MNC * Driven, detail oriented, organized, responsible and independent, proactive, self-motivated and willing to take initiative to problem solve * Results-oriented yet flexible and adaptable * Hands on and able to work independently with minimal supervision. * Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines * A strong team player with a collaborative working style * A strong and confident communicator: good command of both written and spoken English and able to manage sub reporting teams located across Asia * Possess good MS Excel skills and systems skills
