Our client, a leading investment bank with global presence, are seeking a skilled and motivated front office python developer to join their equities technology team. You will play a critical role in developing and enhancing their front office trading applications and systems. The successful candidate should possess solid experience in python programming, financial markets and understanding of front office workflows. The role: Collaborate with traders, quantitative analysts, and other front office teams to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient and scalable python-based solutions Design, develop, and maintain front office equities trading applications and systems Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including traders, risk managers, and operations, to integrate front office systems with middle and back office systems. Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and optimization to ensure the reliability, stability, and performance of front office systems. Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and proactively propose innovative solutions to improve trading infrastructure and processes. Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams to deploy and maintain front office systems in production environments. Provide support and troubleshooting for front office systems, ensuring timely resolution of any technical issues or system failures. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field. Strong proficiency in python programming language, with experience in developing robust and scalable applications. Solid understanding of financial markets, trading workflows, and front office processes in an investment bank. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and identify trading opportunities. Experience with data analysis libraries and frameworks in Python, such as Pandas, NumPy, and SciPy. Proficiency in SQL and databases for data retrieval and manipulation. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Prior experience in an investment bank or financial institution is highly desirable.
