A DAY IN A LIFE
As a start up, you can expect your days to be pretty varied. Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities. That said, the bulk of your working hours should involve you having to:
- You will support the Cargo Operations Management team by providing them with reports, assist with station startups, involved with the ongoing projects & assist in vendor management.
- To monitor day to day operations at the aircraft and warehouse also prepare the daily operation report at the end of duty roster.
- To monitor any irregular shipment from station(s).
- To manually re-planning the cargo or revision and monitor build-up process in the warehouse.
- To monitor ULD’s utilization and maintain stock availability within operating networks / specification and ensure only serviceable ULD are used in cargo operation.
- To collectively work with the CTO and GHA to ensure cargo is build-up, load according to the plan and unload also to ensure on time as per stipulated time frame in the SLA to avoid delays or minimize the delays impact to OTP record as a whole.
- The supervisor to ensure appointed ground handler and contractors handling our cargo as per standard cargo operation requirements and any major anomaly that may jeopardize the safety and efficiency of operations must be reported to the management immediately.
- Responsible for checking at CBTO for any potential cargo misplaced by ramp into the CBTO area and arranging the cargo back to the cargo warehouse.
- End to end monitoring for shipments originating from China.
- Responsible for matching loads, scheduling shipments, ensuring on time pick-up and delivery, and maintaining positive relationships with 3PL providers.
SKILLS
These are minimum-requirement skills and a ‘must-have’ for the role: (If any, otherwise you can skip)
- Can speak and write English to an intermediate degree
- Displays confidence in public settings, and in front of an audience
- Displays high attention to detail
- Is calm, especially under pressure
- Has an analytical background
- Is a fast thinker – able to solve problems on-the-go
- Comfortable with Microsoft Excel and has used it in prior work
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- At least an undergraduate diploma or degree, in any discipline/field
- Great to have : 1-2 year(s) of working experience in a related field is required for this position (Logistics, Warehousing Or Manufacturing). Preferably air cargo.
