Senior Research Scientist (TCM Team Lead)

You will be involved in the planning and execution of pharmaceutical development programs for the company, and to develop market-driven innovative technology for the company. You will also acquire an understanding of the scientific knowledge and technical know-how required for pharmaceutical advanced formulation technology. You will build up strength in the competitive environment of both local and global pharmaceutical industries.
About the job
Leader of a small team in:-
· Participate in the ITF project and post-ITF project on novel traditional Chinese Medicines development.
· Develop new research technologies in new formulation techniques for novel TCM health products.
· Participate in searching literature, sourcing for new equipment and writing proposals for funding.
- Perform formulation characterization such as moisture content, particle size analysis, microscopic observation, content assay and dissolution experiment.
- Communication with other departments and stakeholders in performing new product development projects and research projects.
Must be hand-on in participating formulation experiments and other activities
About the talent:
- PhD or Master’s in Chinese Medicines, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Science, Material Science, Food and Nutritional Science, Chemical Engineering or relevant discipline.
- >3 years experience in leading a group of research staff to execute research projects. Experience in TCM research, nanotechnology or formulation technology is highly preferred.
- Good people management and communication skills. Good cultural fit to local research environment.
- Background knowledge in the treatment method of traditional Chinese Medicines is a plus.
- Possess a can-do attitude, positive mind-set, team spirit and strong problem solving skills.
