Our client, a global leader in media packaging manufacturing with a growing presence in the medical packaging manufacturing sector, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Production Manager to oversee the link between product design in Hong Kong and production in their factories located in Canada and Poland. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing production across multiple plants and a deep understanding of the manufacturing industry, particularly in plastic injection molding.
This is a newly created position that focuses on management responsibilities, but requires a strong technical background in manufacturing. Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the key liaison between the product design team in Hong Kong and the production teams in Canada and Poland
- Ensure seamless communication and coordination across different locations to optimize production processes
- Implement strategies to improve efficiency and productivity in the manufacturing plants
- Collaborate with top management to align production goals with overall business objectives
- Communicate with customers and maintain strong relationships
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in both media packaging and medical manufacturing
Requirements:
- Degree in mechanical engineering, production engineering, production management, or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years of solid experience in managing manufacturing operations, preferably in plastics injection (excluding the toy industry)
- Experience in injection molding processes and knowledge of plastic materials (preferred)
- Knowledge of industrial automation systems (preferred)
- Proven ability to manage production across multiple plants and coordinate with design teams
- Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese
- Willingness to be based in Hong Kong and travel to production facilities in Canada and Poland every few months
