About the Role

The Financial Controller acts as the critical link between finance and the key stakeholders of the business.

This role undertakes all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. 

 

To succeed in this role, you will have a high degree of commercial acumen, be self-motivated, and have a proactive approach.  With an analytical mindset and a solid understanding of financial statements, you will be well-organized and have a drive and passion for business change.  You are a people person who possesses leadership qualities and a positive mindset in all that you do.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Developing financial strategy, including risk minimisation plans and opportunity forecasting
  • High-level financial reporting and analysis
  • Regular budget and forecast consolidation
  • Manage monthly end closing 
  • Cash flow management
  • Improving efficiencies and reducing costs across the business
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory law and financial regulations
  • Stakeholder management
  • Working closely with management or executive teams to share reports and analysis findings
  • Well-developed leadership skills
  • Mentoring the teams

Key Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor or above degree holder in business-related fields (Finance and/or Accounting)
  • Holder of CPA
  • Minimal 5 - 8 years proven experience in finance, accounting and consolidation management
  • Experience in F&B / retail / hospitality would be advantageous
  • People management experience is a must
  • Advanced excel skills for financial modelling and analysis
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
