About the role
We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Associate, Credit Underwriting to join us as part of the winning team in an exciting journey. This role reports to the Associate Director, Credit and you will play a pivotal role in assessing credit risks associated with new and existing clients in these specialized sectors.
What you need to do
- Analyze and underwrite the credit for e-commerce and international trade clients.
- Develop and enhance credit underwriting procedures tailored to the unique characteristics of these industries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate project development and data analysis.
- Implement fraud prevention measures to safeguard the credit quality of trade finance projects.
- Contribute to risk framework formulation, credit policy review, and risk model enhancements.
- Manage portfolio risks effectively, including early warning mechanisms and debt collection strategies.
- Support automation initiatives for streamlining credit underwriting processes.
- Handle ad-hoc tasks and assist in daily operations as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of credit analysis experience in the banking or finance sector.
- Proficiency in Trade Finance with a background in the e-Commerce industry will be an advantage
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, pay attention to detail, and think creatively.
- Fluent in both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin a plus).
