We are seeking a Financial Reporting Assistant Manager with expertise in both IFRS and US GAAP to join our dynamic finance team. This role will directly report to the Senior Manager of Group Finance and will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate must possess strong critical thinking skills, be proactive in problem-solving, and be able to work independently.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and review the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements.
- Ensure financial reports comply with IFRS, US GAAP, and Group policies.
- Oversee intercompany account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes to meet reporting deadlines.
- Collaborate with the Group finance team on consolidation activities and data accuracy.
- Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Monitor compliance with evolving accounting regulations and internal financial policies.
- Identify and implement process improvements for greater efficiency in financial reporting.
- Support special projects, system implementations, and process enhancements.
- 4+ years of relevant experience, with a mandatory audit background in a Big 4 accounting firm.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience with IFRS and US GAAP, including familiarity with the FASB Accounting Standards Codification (ASC).
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are crucial for navigating complex financial scenarios and providing effective solutions.
- Experience in managing or mentoring junior staff is a plus, as this role may involve leadership responsibilities.
- Familiarity with financial systems and ERP software, specifically Microsoft Dynamics 365, is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience in preparing and reviewing consolidated financial statements.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external auditors.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- CPA qualification or equivalent accounting certification is preferred.
