About the Role
We're now looking for a driven and charismatic Assistant Manager to join The Optimist, our iconic, Barcelona-inspired Northern Spanish grill on Hennessy Road.
As an Assistant Manager, you will oversee, lead, and help to coordinate the planning, organising, and training necessary to achieve stated objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality and cleanliness.
The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, will have 3 to 5 years of experience in the food & beverage industry, and a minimum of one year experience as an assistant manager in a highly regarded restaurant, be hands-on, and enjoy being guest-facing.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure the smooth running of the restaurant
- Train your team in all aspects of service
- Be the face of the operations and deliver exceptional guest service
- Deal with any issues that may arise
- Order and monitor stock
- Handle opening and closing procedures
- At least 3+ years experience in the hospitality industry
- A minimum of 1 year experience as assistant manager
- Positive attitude with a teamwork mindset
- Sense of responsibility within your role
- Fluency in English is a must; other languages are advantageous
