Position Overview:

The Head of OTC Sales for Crypto will lead and manage the OTC sales division within a leading cryptocurrency trading platform or financial institution. The role is responsible for driving business development, managing high-net-worth (HNW) and institutional clients, and overseeing a team that delivers tailored crypto solutions to institutional investors, family offices, hedge funds, and other high-value clients. This position requires deep knowledge of the cryptocurrency market, strong sales and relationship management expertise, and a proven ability to build and execute sales strategies that expand the firm’s market presence and revenue in the OTC crypto space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue and market share for the OTC crypto trading desk.
  • Lead, manage, and inspire the OTC sales team to build relationships with institutional and high-net-worth clients, achieving sales targets and KPIs.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with key clients, including hedge funds, institutional investors, family offices, and other high-net-worth individuals looking to trade large volumes of cryptocurrency.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for key accounts, providing tailored solutions, insights, and support for complex OTC transactions.
  • Identify and target new clients, business opportunities, and markets to increase OTC crypto trading volume and revenue.
  • Collaborate with the trading desk, risk management, and compliance teams to ensure smooth transaction processes.
  • Build and scale the OTC sales team by recruiting, training, and mentoring top talent.
  • Foster a high-performance sales culture, ensuring team members are well-equipped to build client relationships, close large trades, and meet performance goals.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or other advanced degrees are a plus.
  • At least 5 years of experience in OTC sales or institutional trading, with a focus on digital assets or cryptocurrencies.
  • Proven success in sales, with a track record of acquiring and managing high-net-worth and institutional clients in the crypto or financial markets.
  • Experience working within the cryptocurrency industry or with digital assets, and a deep understanding of the mechanics of OTC crypto trading.
  • Strong understanding of financial products, blockchain technology, digital asset trading, and market structure in crypto.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with senior executives and clients.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies that drive revenue growth in a competitive market.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and motivating sales teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of OTC trading mechanics, risk management, and best practices in crypto asset management.
