Our client a leading technology services company is looking hire Engineer.

As an Engineer in the IT Managed Services, you are responsible for maintaining and improving the technology environment at client sites, keeping the client informed of the state of their environments and for keeping your Team Manager accurately updated as to your status. 

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd level support to users in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Follow procedures and instructions from your manager.
• Keep your Manager and Helpdesk aware of the status of your current and outstanding tasks, escalating when tasks take longer than expected. 
• Promptly update job status in ticketing and activity tracking systems.
• Remain contactable via phone during out of office hours.
• Perform upgrade / maintenance / support jobs during non-office hours.
• Conduct daily morning checks on meeting room facilities.
• Manage meeting room facilities readiness and troubleshoot when problems arise. 
• Handle equipment deliveries and rack mount IT equipment occasionally. 

Requirements

• Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory
• Fluency in spoken Mandarin
• Knowledge in Microsoft desktop / Office 365 / Azure platforms
• Troubleshooting Skills
• Industry certifications would be an advantage (MCITP/MCSE)
• 3+ years in a technology support role for Engineer
• Trade floor or financial services IT experience would be an advantage but not critical
• Diploma or above in fields of Information Technology, Software Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities:

• Deploying, automating, maintaining and managing production systems.
• System troubleshooting and problem solving across platform and application domains.
• Evaluate new technology options and vendor products.
• Ensuring critical system security using best in class security solutions.
• Manage our continuous integration and delivery platform to maximize efficiency.
• Iterate on best practices to increase the quality & velocity of deployments.
• Sustain and improve the process of knowledge sharing throughout the engineering team.
• Develop and maintain solutions for operational administration, system/data backup, disaster recovery, and security/performance monitoring.
• Work collaboratively with multiple agile teams to help deliver end-to-end products and features, seeing them through from conception to delivery.
• Assist to plan the enhancement and refreshment of related technology infrastructure.
• Assist to define IT policy and standards pertaining in field.
• Enforce and execute problem and change management procedures.
• Support and ensure deliverables follow IT standard and guideline, covering not only anti-money laundering and counter terrorist financing controls in accordance with regulatory standards and policies.

B)   Academic and Professional Qualification

• Preferably degree holder in Information Technology or related disciplines
• Certification in OCP, CKA and/or RHCE preferred
• ITIL/PMP certification is also an added advantage

C)   Training and Relevant Experiences

• At least 2 years’ experience with implementing high-scale cloud architectures using modern, cloud-based container and On-Premise Platforms (PaaS/SaaS)
• Excellent coding and scripting skills (Bash, Python, Terraform)
• Working knowledge in deployment automation solutions (i.e. Puppet, Chef, Ansible)
• In-deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, AliCloud or any Cloud platform in market)
• Practical experience with containers and container orchestration platform such as Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes etc
• Practical experience with C/I & C/D and related DevSecOps tools such as Jira, Jenkins, Maven, NPM, Git/GitOps, Elastic etc.
