OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE  

The Infopro Digital Business Exec position is a team-oriented, quota carrying role that will focus on revenue generation for the Global Financial Market brands, specifically selling our Risk.Net, FX Markets and Waters Technology products to clients globally. This   role will sell enterprise access to our subscriptions and memberships to new clients, whilst working alongside the Account Management team to ensure clients buy our full suite of products.   The Business Development Manager will work with an entrepreneurial mindset that demonstrates drive, initiative, energy and a sense of urgency.  

You will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to develop strategic initiatives that support the company’s objectives in the financial services industry. You will be expected to leverage your expertise and networks to generate leads, close high-value deals, and expand the company's footprint in key global markets. 

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

• Strategic Planning: Collaborate with internal teams to develop and execute a strategic business development plan that aligns with the company's goals and targets in the global financial market. 
• Sales and Negotiation: Lead the sales process from lead generation to contract negotiations, ensuring the successful closure of deals. This includes conducting presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations tailored to the needs of financial institutions 
• Revenue Generation: Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs, driving revenue growth through new customer acquisition and existing client expansion 
• Market Expansion: Identify and pursue new business opportunities across global financial markets, focusing on investment banks, asset managers, hedge funds, fintech firms, and other financial institutions. 
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including marketing, legal, compliance, and operations, to ensure smooth execution of contracts, onboarding, and service delivery. 
• Networking and Industry Events: Represent the company at global financial conferences, networking events, and trade shows. Establish a presence in key industry forums to build brand recognition and attract new business. 
• Reporting and Analytics: Regularly report on business development progress, sales pipeline, and market insights to senior leadership. Use CRM and other tools to track and manage sales activity and opportunities. 

KEY COMPETENCIES:  

• Negotiation Skills: Ability to navigate complex discussions, find win-win solutions and negotiate terms that support both short term and long-term business objectives.  
• Market Knowledge: A comprehensive understanding of the market and the full GFM product suit.  
• Communication Skills: Ability to articulate effectively and efficiently in front of C-Suit level prospects and clients.  
• Adaptability, Resilience and Self-Motivation: Front line sales is a tough role, this person must have the ability to keep going and have the required self-motivation to put in the hard yards to ensure success. 
• Excellent Time Management: Must have the ability to spin a lot of plates. Having various ongoing deals in play at any one time whilst not losing sight of any next step.  
• Goal Oriented: Must be motivated by sales targets and consistently striving to meet or exceed them. 
• Tech Savvy: Being proficient with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to track interactions, follow-ups, and progress on leads. 

• A minimum of 1-3 years of successful proactive business development, sales, marketing, or lead generation/enablement experience 
• Bachelor’s degree preferred 
• Experience selling business to business (B2B) with a track record of overachieving sales goals 
• Must live within commutable distance of our London office and commit to being in at least 3 days a week 
• An understanding of financial concepts and principles as they relate to clients’ needs is a strong plus 
• Additional language is a bonus, but not a requirement

About the Role

You will work alongside a supervisor and be responsible for table service in your section. You will be responsible to take orders, serve food and drinks, make the guests feel welcome and attend to any requests.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth implementation and execution of the restaurant operation

Our Business Intelligence teams work as trusted advisors to leading Fortune 500 companies, financial institutions, private market investors and law firms across the region. We help our clients understand and manage a variety of business risks, enabling them to succeed in complex environments. Your work as a member of the team will include evaluating potential local partners and investments, mapping out sources of reputational and integrity risk and conducting investigations to help our clients respond to internal and external threats to their operations, including helping to resolve disputes.

Role tasks and responsibilities

Researchers are responsible for conducting open-source intelligence (OSINT) research, retrieving and analysing public records and summarising the results of their research into clear, informative and accurately written reports. They also support the practice’s marketing and sales activities by producing material, such as client briefing notes, sector summaries and other research documents.

Research and analysis

• Conduct thorough OSINT and public record research in both English and Chinese using complex search criteria

• Analyse results within the context of an investigative project that addresses the client’s key questions and suggest additional avenues of research
• Identify and investigate potential sources of risk to clients
• Provide guidance to project managers on the availability and cost of public record information and advise on the optimum research approach, including social media research
• Review and improve the sources of information accessed by Control Risks, including identifying new tools and techniques

Report-writing

• Work closely with other members of the BI team across offices – including Researchers, Project Leaders and Editors – to support the production of high-quality, client-ready reports
• Ensure that all reports are delivered according to agreed deadlines and within budget
• Take ownership of deliverables and confidently present findings to project managers and, on occasion, end clients

Marketing, business development and other activities

• Conduct scoping research for proposals
• Conduct research and prepare materials (e.g. client or sector briefs) to support marketing
• Curate information on companies and individuals from past reports to expand the knowledge base of the practice.
• Attend client calls/meetings and in-country research trips when workload allows

Essential

• Excellent command of English language and fluency in Chinese
• Excellent research and writing skills
