We’re now looking for a dynamic Assistant Manager to join Honjo, our dreamy home for contemporary Japanese dining in Sheung Wan.

As an Assistant Manager, you will support the Restaurant Manager in all aspects of running a top quality, high volume venue. You will ensure that the team is well trained, motivated, and consistently delivers a friendly, approachable, caring and informed service experience to our guests. You will be identifiable as a manager whilst on the floor, greeting guests and dealing with any issues that may arise.

The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, will have at least one year's experience as an assistant manager in a highly regarded restaurant, and be a hands-on, floor-based manager who enjoys being guest-facing.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth implementation and execution of the restaurant operations
• Provide training to the team to deliver the highest quality of service and sustain brand image
• Implement marketing activities to drive sales and revenue for the restaurant
• Control stocks for daily use in restaurant to ensure service requirements are met
• Supervise and coordinate the prompt, high standard, efficient and courteous serving of food and beverage in the restaurant
• Manage and store vendors’ contracts and invoices
• Provide support to the Restaurant Manager in coordinating a variety of activities such as hiring and training, arranging schedules and guest requirements
• Arrange for new employees’ proper onboarding (scheduling trainings and ordering uniforms)
• Monitor compliance with safety and hygiene regulations
• Gather guests’ feedback, respond accordingly, and resolve guest complaints

As an Assistant Manager, you will oversee one of three areas of responsibilities: Training, Onboarding or Cost of Goods. When you achieve the agreed goals for one of these three areas, you can earn an additional bonus of HKD2,000 per month.

About The Role

The Location Manager will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer experience to hundreds of members and visitors, and driving a smooth-running operation for the assigned location. You'll provide exceptional support to the organization by operating the facility and managing communication with stakeholders. Goals and Objectives

• Build and expand on your community of members at your location, by maintaining high-quality service and a high occupancy rate
• Oversee all daily operations of your location (frontdesk services, event planning, social media marketing of the space, etc)
• Create and oversee a well-connected community through internal and external events, networking and a personable attitude
• Manage finance-related tasks, such as invoices, purchases, bills, and petty cash
• Oversee all weekly and month end reports to ensure they are completed
• Train, guide and support new team members

• Oversee events to ensure a good balance of different types to ensure a great experience for both Hive members and potential members who come to the space to attend

Business Development, Retention and Sales

• Work with the Country Manager and Sales Lead to ensure that your space maintains a 100% occupancy rate at all times
• Identify promising deals with potential members and ensure that your team provides informative, high-quality tours to drive membership sales
• Notify, manage and work alongside internal teams to ensure a high retention rate of current members
• Develop strategies to drive sales, increase revenue and interest for your location
• Ensure that all enquiries are followed up on, and that negotiations and closure is taking place

Finance and Administration

• Obtain and analyse P&L reports, and conduct variance analysis when required
• Prepare monthly Manager’s Report and share with relevant stakeholders internally
• Prepare monthly invoices and work collaboratively with the Finance Team
  

Building Operations and Management

• Work closely with Community Associates, manage move-ins and move-outs; ensuring that all new members are fully prepared and transitions run smoothly
• Manage all operations and maintenance of the space to ensure a consistently high quality experience for members
• Ensure all building receipts and documents are up-to-date and documented, providing internal teams with weekly and monthly reports
• Make suggestions to the Projects team regarding maintenance and improvements of the space
• Identify, followup and resolve any issues, such as cleaning, IT-related issues, electrical equipment and so forth
  

Team Management and Development

• Manage, inspire, support and guide your team to achieve goals
• Identify knowledge gaps, and train and/or arrange training with People Team when necessary
• Provide learning and development opportunities, and make recommendations to promote the best-performing Community Associates and Leads
• Hold one-on-one meetings with the People Team to track your team members’ individual performance on a monthly or quarterly basis

• University Degree holder is an advantage
• 2+ years experience in a sales, events, operations or customer service with 1+ year(s) experience in P&L management preferable
• Strong commercial acumen, customer service and sales experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional organisational and multitasking skills
• Strong understanding of startups, coworking, hospitality or knowledge in other relevant industries

Reporting to the Country Manager, we are seeking an experienced leader with extensive brand & marketing expertise to further develop our local and travel retail businesses. As a Senior Brand Manager, you will need to value diversity and possess a strong strategic as well as operational mindset to succeed.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING ON ANY GIVEN DAY

• Supporting SEM/Social/Display campaign launches for client[s]
• Support of campaigns, including daily campaign pacing, optimisation, and campaign hygiene
• Ensuring platform accounts are compliant with our defined best practices
• Responsible for producing reports, including data inputting and suggesting insights
• Publishing requests for proposals (RFPs) for relevant channels. This may involve either sending them to clients, or potential clients getting in touch with proposals
• Responsible for sending publisher contracts [i.e. insertion orders (IOs)] for relevant channels
• Assist with internal data maintenance, issue identification and solution development

THE SKILLS WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor’s degree in a Media/Advertising or a related field preferred
• Ideally 4 years + experience in performance marketing in agency
• Experience in media buying, i.e. hands on platform experience across Google Ads, Business Manager, DV360, CM360, etc.
• Solid knowledge on cross channel media activation (SEM/Social/Display etc)
• A passion for everything digital, with an active interest and understanding of online advertising industry trends
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Great analysis skills (including quantitative analysis) and proven critical thinking capability
• Adaptable and able to flex with changes in prioritisation to meet new or changed goals
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is desirable
