About the Role

We are now looking for an energetic Cleaner to join The Optimist, our iconic, Barcelona-inspired Northern Spanish grill on Hennessy Road.

You will be responsible for setting up the cleaning station and dishwashing machine. You will be following health and safety regulations and ensure a clean and safe environment for the guests.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Support the kitchen team with cleaning and dishwashing duties
• Sanitise and maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing machine
• Unload dishes and utensils from the dishwashing machine and organise them properly
• Empty trash containers regularly
• Maintain a clean working environment by sweeping and mopping when needed
• Ensure the kitchen adheres to health and safety regulations

• Able to handle a physically demanding role
• Positive attitude with teamwork mindset
• Sense of responsibility in your role
• Fluency in English is a must, other languages are advantageous

Responsibilities: Assist in the daily operations of the café Provide superior service to the guests Act as the communicator between kitchen, management, and dining & retail team Introduce menu items, French pastry, chocolates, macarons and beverages to customers Working Location: Central / Admiralty Requirements: At least 3 years’ relevant experience from high-end cafés or cake shops or luxury hotels Presentable, customer service-oriented, pleasant personality and good communications skills Excellent guest interaction skills Self-organized and detail-oriented with strong sense of responsibility Good command of both Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin) and English Applicants with less experience will be considered for the post of Assistant Captain.
