About the Role

• Assist preparation of monthly valuations, calculations, data extraction, and validation checks
• Assist financial strategy testing through scenario analysis and capital modeling 
• Assist Preparation financial reports, projections, and management reporting
• Extract data and perform checks to compile monthly/quarterly financial statements
• Verify and document valuation methodologies and assumptions in financial models 
• Conduct quantitative analysis and interpret results to provide business insights
• Identify operational improvements for enhanced efficiency in financial reporting

• Assist pricing development for new insurance products and features
• Assist review of pricing assumptions and methodologies to ensure alignment with profitability goals
• Assist the performance of data-driven analyses of existing products to advise enhancement opportunities
• Assist creating financial models projecting profitability using Excel and other tools
• Validate accuracy of pricing models through quality control checks
• Support reinsurance evaluations by analyzing treaty costs and structures
• Summarize findings through written reports, pricing documentation, and management presentations

Roles and Responsibilities:

Actuarial Department - Product Development

Main function of the product team would be to develop new products, review existing product performance and actual operational experience

• Performing data analysis and generate product financials through the use of spreadsheet and/or Prophet models
• Checking on IT systems related to product administration
• Preparing data and calculation for experience/claim monitoring

Actuarial Department -Reporting

This function is further divided into different sections for reporting under different valuation basis. This function prepares financial reports and projections for both external and internal use

• Performing the calculation, data extraction and checking for financial report through the use of spreadsheet and/or Prophet models
• Verification of valuation basis applied in the financial models
• Supporting coding of new products and improvements of the spreadsheet and/or Prophet models
• Performing analysis and explanation of results

Capital Management Department

The team performs various stochastic and risk-based analysis to support the formulation of business and financial strategies from capital preceptive

• Perform the calculation, data extraction and checking for stress capital/economic capital reporting through the use of spreadsheet and/or Prophet models
• Support the testing of various financial strategies and analyzing the implication on capital position of the company
• Perform control and checking on the spreadsheet and/or Prophet models to ensure the result consistency and quality

Minimum Job Requirements:

• University students major in Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Insurance or Finance with strong mathematics background
• Good analytical and communication skills
• Good command of written and spoken English

About the Role

Roles and Responsibilities:

Product

• Prepares new product pricing to meet the financial requirements of the company. Conducts profitability analysis of existing products (25%)
• Prepares user requirement and performs testing for the actuarial related areas in the product implementation cycle to ensure accuracy and timeliness of system delivery (20%)
• Prepares experience studies / reports.  Meets agreed timelines and with accuracy. Provides observation and comments on the results.  (15%)

Other responsibilities

• Communicates with IT and prepare user requirement for various studies and system development (10%)
• Develops special quotations (10%)
• Performs other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor in order to meet operational and/or other requirements (10%)
• Assist manager in coordinating among teams on ad-hoc tasks. (10%)

Minimum Job Requirements:

• University / College graduate in Actuarial Science or relevant subject
• Proficient in MS Office, database skills and data analysis techniques, knowledge of actuarial software will be an advantage

About the Role

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Actuarial Valuation: Support to manage the IFRS 17 financial reporting on a regular basis, ensure detailed analysis on the movements in key financials and identify the underlying key drivers for the financial results; Support to manage the auditor engagement for regular reporting
• Financial Management: Support to prepare the annual budget exercise, perform regular forecast on financial KPIs, highlight the risks and opportunities as part of financial management for meeting Group’s financial objectives; Assess the impacts from assumption changes to facilitate the decisions
• Governance & Controls: Ensure best practice for process & controls, process being clearly documented audit trail of actuarial valuations including data, models, assumptions and analysis to support the delivery of high-quality financial results and analysis
• Ad-hoc Analysis: Perform the ad-hoc analysis, deep-dive analysis or impact assessment to reveal the financial implications; Identify areas on improving the efficiency and optimizing the reporting process through process enhancement and automation

Minimum Job Requirements:

• University / College graduate in Actuarial Science or related disciplines
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
• Good progress in Actuarial professional examination
• Knowledge in insurance products and IFRS 4 / IFRS 17 will be an asset
• Ability to investigate complex technical issues and communicate the findings and implications
• Proficiency in Actuarial Software – Prophet, especially Prophet ALS is a plus
• Sound knowledge in IFRS 17-related actuarial and accounting system, e.g. SAS sub-ledger is a plus
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
• Proficient in MS Office and data analysis techniques is essential
