Guidepost Family Club
Guidepost Family Club (GFC) is an oasis for early education and a community hub for young families. The Guidepost Family Club Causeway Bay features an indoor playground, a coffee shop, a communal space for parents, as well as 6 beautiful rooms spread across two levels offering programs for children between 6 months to 3 years old. GFC also serves as the community hub for the entire Guidepost community of 11 campuses across Hong Kong and hosts community events, workshops, gatherings, to offer learning and connections for the whole family.
Role Overview
The Campus Manager at Guidepost Family Club is the leader of our community and whom our campus team looks to for guidance.
The Campus Manager exercises discretion and independent judgment to set the strategy for and manage the operations of his or her campus.
The Campus Manager is responsible for ensuring a high-quality learning experience for children and adults, curating and hosting engaging community events, fostering a collaborative, supportive work environment for all staff, and providing exceptional customer service. In addition, the Campus Manager is responsible for ensuring the campus meets profitability targets by driving enrollment, retention, managing expenses and ensuring the best customer journey for the entire Guidepost community.
Core Job Responsibilities
Manage Campus Operations
- Oversees day-to-day campus operations
- Be responsible for the daily campus operation of the campus and perform daily administrative services.
- Handle entire enrollment process with prospective parents including initial contact, email and phone follow-up, tour scheduling, tour-conducting, extending offers, and enrolling into program
- Support all aspects of day-to-day campus operations including billing, compliance, facilities maintenance, ordering, etc
- Utilize customer relationship management (CRM) system to maintain detailed notes on each prospective and enrolled family to ensure highly customized service is provided
- Build a rapport and maintain ongoing relationships with all families
- Maintain the campuses and classrooms’ appearance as well as completeness to ensure a smooth working and teaching environment. Ensure the campus environmental ways looks clean, orderly, and welcoming
Community Building
- Spearhead the organization and execution of community events, workshops, and gatherings. Facilitate a calendar of engaging activities that cater to the interests and educational goals of our families across our network.
- Foster a welcoming environment that encourages parental involvement and creates opportunities for families to connect with each other and with the Guidepost community at large.
Ensure Program Quality
- Directly oversee and manage program quality & collaborate with Montessori Mentors to ensure quality implementation of Montessori pedagogy, curriculum, and programs that meets Guidepost Montessori’s standards
- Supervise, mentor and develop staff to ensure teaching quality and operation efficiencies
- Hold regular group and one-on-one meetings with campus staff, as needed for culture building and program quality
Provide Exceptional Customer Service
- Lead parent events (e.g. Parent Information Evenings; Children’s Night; Coffee Chats)
- Ensure frequent, high-quality parent communication from teachers and other administrative staff, monitoring and providing feedback with regard to quantity, quality, tone and style
- Maintain a presence and interact with parents during pick-up and drop-off times
- Provide tour notes and relay prospective parent information to administrative staff for further follow-up and entry into the CRM or other platforms
- Act as an ambassador for the center
Drive Campus Profitability
- Drive enrollment and student retention in all programs
- Effectively assess and mitigate risks that could impact the center
- Manage annual and monthly budgets by tracking of enrollment goals, as well as other key financial reporting items
- Identify business needs and growth opportunities, collaborate with different parties on campus events
- Liaise with Director of Family Club to track enrollment goals, as well as other key financial reporting items and ensure campus is on-track to meet or exceed profitability targets
- Participate in regular meetings with the regional management team
Qualifications
- More than 3 years of substantive leadership and management experience in schools, education centers, retail, restaurants, or hotels.
- Proven experience in community engagement, event management, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to engage a diverse group of individuals and build lasting relationships.
- Fluency in spoken and written English is a must. Candidates also with fluency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin will be prioritized.
- Computer savvy and can learn new software and programs with ease
- Organized with good time management and have a keen eye for detail
- Able to work under pressure, follow instructions, and meet tight deadlines
