We are currently working with a leading global hedge fund with a firm foot in Macro Markets who is looking to add an experienced economist to their Hong Kong office. You will have the opportunity to focus on country analysis for the developed Asian economy with an emphasis on Japan, Taiwan and Korea. You will report directly to the global chief economist and work directly with the portfolio managers in the Hong Kong office. In order to apply you should have: An MSC/PHD in economics from a leading school. A minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a macro economist covering the Asian region. Experience working for a leading investment bank or Buy side firm. A strong understanding of global fixed income and interest rate markets and drivers within the Asian region. Excellent written capabilities. Central banking experience prior to buy side or sell side research experience is a plus.
