·       Data / Actuarial Analyst position within a Reinsurance Company 

·       Position based in Hong Kong

A unique opportunity exists to become part of our Life & Health actuarial reserving team dedicated to ensuring the Life & Health business holds sufficient and prudent reserves in line with regulatory requirements and actuarial guidance while delivering key financial reporting requirements on a timely basis.

Work will include:

·       Support the delivery of all internal and external (including regulatory) reporting covering monthly, quarterly, and annual requirements.

·       Support the development of the L&H actuarial models and policy model points covering all key reporting bases (including HK Statutory, IFRS 4, IFRS 17 and HK RBC).

·       Perform data analysis, experience studies and other actuarial analysis in respect of proposed methodology & assumption changes.

·       Ad-hoc support – you will provide support across other analytical areas including Asset and Liability monitoring, data analysis, process improvement and automation of data flows, etc.

We are looking for highly motivated individuals pursuing a degree in actuarial science, data science, data engineering, statistics, or other numerate discipline.

Candidates should have the following qualities:

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving ability 

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

·       Interest in the insurance/reinsurance industry

·       Articulate, flexible in working to deadlines, adapt at working with process and the ability to communicate findings

·       Experience in data manipulation using MS Excel, MS Access or SQL

·       Experience with programming in Python, VBA, C++ or SQL is a plus 

·       Experience in Actuarial Software (RiskAgility Financial Modeller, Prophet) is a plus 

·       Actuarial exam is a plus, but not a must
