About the Role
The Assistant Accountant is mainly responsible for assisting the daily accounting operations related to accounts receivable and payable functions and relevant financial transactions, to support accurate financial reporting for our Group.
You will be working in a multi-skilled team, assisting with a wide range of different tasks for our rapidly expanding F&B group
Duties & Responsibilities
Perform daily accounting tasks including AR, AP, fixed assets and inventory
Liaise with internal and external parties on receivable and payable related matters
Assist in handling month end closing reports, audit and tax matters
Other ad-hoc tasks as required
Degree / Higher Diploma in Accounting with 1-3 years relevant experience, preferably from Food and Beverage or retail industry
Well organized with attention to detail
Proficient in MS Excel
Bilingual fluency in both written and spoken English and Cantonese is a must
Candidates with less experience will be offered as Account Clerk

We're looking for a Junior Accountant to join our team in Hong Kong. In our small team, you'll handle various financial tasks, providing great learning opportunities.
Your day at this role:
· Process supplier invoices and prepare payments for the Group.
· Manage month-end tasks, such as AP closing, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet breakdowns.
· Improve processes to make them more efficient and error-proof, including project-based work on automation.
Additional responsibilities after trainings:
· Prepare financial statements for a small portfolio of international companies
· Analyse and report on the performance of a portfolio of brands

What you need to do:
Assist in Preparing Financial Statements: Support the preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
Conduct Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to ensure accuracy.
Maintain Financial Records: Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of financial records, including invoices, receipts, and payment records.

Contribute to Budgeting: Assist in the preparation of budgets by collecting and analysing financial data.
Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with other finance team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely reporting.
Provide Administrative Support: Perform various administrative tasks related to finance, such as filing, data entry, and maintaining databases.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
1-2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance; fresh graduates will also be considered.
Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, or similar) is preferred.
Ability to analyse financial data and prepare reports accurately.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all work undertaken.
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas and financial functions.
Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese to interact with team members and stakeholders.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to collaborate and support a diverse team.

Bachelor’s Degree holder in Finance/ Accounting or other related disciplines.
At least 3 years’ experience in Accounting, where the experience in Account Receivables or Credit Control is a plus.
Personal encountered in using various accounting systems is an advantage.
Strong communication, data analysis, presentation and interpersonal skills
Good in Microsoft office, especially in the Excel and Word.
Independent and adaptable to change.
Good team player with a good sense of responsibility.
Self-motivated with positive working attitude, flexible and well-organised.
