Capula are looking for a Technology Analyst to join our growing office in Hong Kong.  We are looking for someone with strong C# and Python skills.  This is an excellent role for candidates looking to work in a leading hedge fund, and develop close working relationships to the front office.  

Front Office Development: 

• To develop, maintain and support software for the Front Office.
• A successful candidate will be expected to assist on a variety of projects to support the front office; including the new development of what-if scenarios in the interest rates space. 
• Develop pre-trade systems used for evaluating relative value trading strategies.
• Using persistent and in-memory databases and grid computing to process large quantities of static data, instrument prices, rate curves and volatility surfaces.

Application development: 

Take ownership of existing applications, mostly written in Python and C#, and develop them further to meet user requirements. Assist the local HK Front Office teams by capturing requirements and provide software solutions or escalate them with the global development team.

Application support: 

Take care of all first line issues and doing analysis and documentation of more severe issues before escalating to a remote team based in London, U.K.

Education and Qualifications 

• Degree educated in a relevant subject

Experience

• Graduate or up to 3 years’ finance experience 
• Excellent technical knowledge in Python (or other functional language) and/or excellent technical knowledge in C# (or other OO language) 
• Good working knowledge of SQL and relational databases

About the role

• Monitoring performance and review of marketing campaigns
• Social media management

Minimum Job Requirements:

• University degree prefer in marketing, communication and/or business
• Advance level in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint
• Proficient in design software
• Social Media savvy
• Good verbal and written presentation skills
• Good copywriting skills
• Excellent listening, interpersonal, and oral communication skills
• Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail
• Highly self-motivated and directed
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
• Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives
• Flexible and willing to work overtime if necessary
