SVP / Team Head - Policy Governance and Reporting - Top Tier Insurance Your new company We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic professional to join our team as the SVP / Team Head - Policy Governance and Reporting. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in transforming the way our organisation reports on the Risk and Control framework and structures group policies. You will be responsible for streamlining the policy structure, integrating policy requirements into risk and controls assessment, enhancing risk reporting, and enabling the Group to have a robust aggregated view of risk exposure and controls. Additionally, you will oversee the day-to-day governance functions with the support of a talented team. Your new role - Lead the transformation and simplification of the policy structure across the organisation, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. - Integrate policy requirements into risk and control assessment processes, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of risk exposures and controls across the Group. - Enhance risk reporting mechanisms to provide accurate and timely information on risk profiles, trends, and emerging risks to key stakeholders. - Develop and implement a framework for aggregating risk exposure and controlling Business Units to enable effective risk management and decision-making at the Group level. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth execution of governance processes and compliance with internal policies and external regulations. - Provide strategic guidance and support to senior management on governance and reporting matters, highlighting areas of improvement and recommending actionable solutions. - Foster a culture of risk awareness and compliance by conducting training sessions and workshops for employees at all levels. What you'll need to succeed - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Risk Management, Finance, or a related discipline). A postgraduate degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, FRM) would be advantageous. - Extensive experience in governance, risk management, and policy development within a complex organizational structure. - Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing governance and reporting initiatives at a senior level. - Strong understanding of risk management frameworks, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. - Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends and patterns. - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. - Strong leadership abilities, with experience managing teams and driving cross-functional collaboration. - Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
