As an Engineer in the IT Managed Services, you are responsible for maintaining and improving the technology environment at client sites, keeping the client informed of the state of their environments and for keeping your Team Manager accurately updated as to your status.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1st and 2nd level support to users in a friendly and helpful manner.
- Follow procedures and instructions from your manager.
- Keep your Manager and Helpdesk aware of the status of your current and outstanding tasks, escalating when tasks take longer than expected.
- Promptly update job status in ticketing and activity tracking systems.
- Remain contactable via phone during out of office hours.
- Perform upgrade / maintenance / support jobs during non-office hours.
- Conduct daily morning checks on meeting room facilities.
- Manage meeting room facilities readiness and troubleshoot when problems arise.
- Handle equipment deliveries and rack mount IT equipment occasionally.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
- Fluency in spoken Mandarin.
- Knowledge in Microsoft desktop / Office 365 / Azure platforms.
- Troubleshooting skills.
- Industry certifications would be an advantage (MCITP/MCSE).
- 3+ years in a technology support role for Engineer.
- Diploma or above in fields of Information Technology, Software Engineering or equivalent.
