With the continued growth of the organization, the need has arisen to recruit a high calibre candidate to join them. Reporting to team head, you will be responsible for the bank’s financial and HKMA reporting. You will need to ensure the submission of various HKMA banking returns for Hong Kong in accordance with the relevant requirements within the required deadlines as well as handle month-end closing, annual and interim statutory reporting. In addition, you will look to improve process, controls, basis of preparation and procedural manuals for HKMA regulatory reporting as well as provide advice on accounting projects as well as financial accounting related matters. Lastly, you will liaise with both external and internal auditors and assist in providing financial information as requested and stay abreast with changes of regulatory requirements, and participate in implementation of new reporting requirement. To be considered, you should be a qualified accountant with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in banking industry. Good banking and financial product knowledge together with knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements is required. You should be independent and able to work under pressure to tight timeframes with multiple deliverables.
