Responsibilities: Manage, monitor, and provide local and regional support for database platforms (MSSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, and Sybase) plus incident support calls. Monitor database health and backup. Manage high availability and disaster recovery database platforms; as well as database design, capacity planning, and performance optimization. Implement and maintain database security principles and access controls. Manage database hardening and auditing. Oversee database upgrades, patching, and use SQL & Shell scripting for automation, and maintain inventory documentation and updates. Requirements: At least 5+ years of hands-on Database Administration experience in a regional infrastructure team. Strong experience managing and supporting MS SQL and MongoDB database environments. Additional hands-on experience with Oracle and Sybase would be a plus. Strong experience implementing database backup, recovery tools, and disaster recovery solutions (Oracle RAC, Data Guard, SQL AG Cluster, Replication Server, etc.) Strong experience with database security management (data encryption, securing sensitive data, etc.) Strong technical and problem-solving skills for both production, application, infrastructure, and electronic trading environments. Strong communication skills in English and Cantonese is a definite advantage. Server administration and cloud deployment experience would also be a plus.
