Your Team
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Business Analyst to join our team responsible for supporting the Investment Technology team with the analysis and implementation of projects, processes, operations, documentation, and governance.
Your Role
This role will work closely with the Investment teams to understand their needs and requirements, and to translate those needs into actionable solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Investment lifecycle, as well as experience in data analysis.
You Will Be Responsible For:
- Gather and analyze information on existing business processes or data platforms to make recommendations that seek to improve business systems and processes.
- Analyze and document requirements for enhancements to systems, business processes and data platforms. May involve investigation of third-party vendors or systems.
- Design and clearly document solutions/recommendations to business problems. Lead reviews of requirements and designs with relevant stakeholders to obtain agreement and sign-off of proposals.
- Drive user testing, ensuring issues are resolved in pragmatic and appropriate manner.
- Articulate the technical solutions to the regional or global business partners.
- Provide production support to critical investment applications and interfaces, as well as root cause analysis.
- Work as part of a project team, reporting progress and escalating issues to project management in a timely manner to ensure successful completion of projects / reviews.
- Adhere to standards set by the Invesco project methodology and promote the best practices within the team or across the teams.
The Experience You Bring:
- Over 10 years proven experience in a role developing the skills required for the technical business analyst role. This will include carrying out business process reviews, production of business requirements and data analysis.
- Familiar with front-office and back-office systems of asset management industry, particularly knowledge in OMS, EMS, FIX, post-trade processing, IBOR system.
- Experience in first line supporting investment teams (Portfolio Managers & Traders support) for at least 5 years.
- Proficiency in SQL. Experience with data analysis or data-driven environments.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent written communication skills (to include process flowcharting, and formal business solutions documents). Strong verbal communication skills in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
- Able to work in a global, multicultural environment independently or as a team player. Structured, disciplined approach to work, with attention to detail. Capable of working with low level of supervision.
