Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Packaging Technologist to serve as the primary package expert for our pre-launch projects in the personal care and health supplement industries. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating, selecting, and validating packaging materials and designs to ensure successful product launches. Your deep expertise in various packaging mediums, combined with your industry-specific experience, will be crucial in delivering high-quality, innovative packaging solutions that meet our customers' needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on packaging materials, formats, and design considerations for pre-launch projects in the personal care and health supplement industries
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate packaging materials (e.g., plastic, glass, metal, paper/board) based on product requirements, manufacturing processes, and cost considerations
- Conduct package testing and validation to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and customer specifications
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, manufacturing, and procurement teams to address packaging-related challenges and drive continuous improvement
- Stay up-to-date with the latest packaging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to identify opportunities for innovation
- Develop and maintain comprehensive packaging specifications, Bill of Materials, and other technical documentation
- Provide training and guidance to cross-functional teams on packaging-related topics
- Bachelor's degree in Packaging Science, Materials Science, or a related engineering discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Packaging Technologist or in a similar role, preferably in the personal care or health supplement industries
- In-depth knowledge of various packaging materials, formats, and manufacturing processes, with a focus on the personal care and health supplement industries
- Proven track record of successfully launching new products through effective packaging solutions in the personal care and/or health supplement industries
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards for the personal care and health supplement industries
