• Support Event Driven portfolio managers with corporate access, financial analysis, and due diligence on potential investment opportunities

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in sell-side Equity Capital Markets, Corporate Access, or buy-side investment analysis within event-driven strategies or a related field
• Strong interpersonal skills with a proven track record of building relationships with senior industry professionals
• Entrepreneurial mindset with creative and critical thinking abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly
• Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Bloomberg, Excel, financial modeling software)

Assist finance function for all financial aspects, including but not limited to:

• Maintain the group’s system of accounts and keep books and records on all group transactions and assets
• Support day-to-day operations including payments process and bank account maintenance
• Assist in business projects and group requests, e.g. entity setup
• Assist in management reports preparation and month-end closing process
• Prepare monthly budget and closely monitor the liquid capital requirement coordinate with internal compliance team for regulatory filings/ requests
• Implement and maintain effective financial controls for the organization
• Perform financial and regulatory reporting functions, e.g. preparation of Financial Resources Return, PQR filing
• Liaise with external fund administrator and external auditors on annual audit procedures
• Monitor and calculate incentive fees for portfolio managers
• Liaise with external tax representatives for the preparation of tax returns
• Handle other issues related to financial arrangements
• Take up ad hoc projects as assigned

• With a university or above degree in Finance or Accounting (Chartered Accountant is preferable)
• Minimum of 5 years experience in asset management, audit, fund administration or financial institute. Highly prefer auditors in asset management field
• Basic understanding of investment funds or asset management is preferred
• Excellent verbal and written English
• Ability to work independently and manage his/her own tasks

Job Responsibilities:

Corporate Accounting

• Handle full sets of accounts including but not limited to financial and management reporting, AR, AP, management fee records, bank reconciliation, etc
• Prepare monthly end close, prepare management report and FRR reporting in a timely manner and in compliance with local regulations
• Monitor the liquid capital on a monthly basis
• Prepare consolidation package, including all necessary consolidation adjustments and eliminations 
• Prepare consolidated cashflow forecast and annual budget

Fund Accounting

• Process vendors' invoices for the fund and corporation
• Work with fund administrator on non-trading expenses bookings and payments for third-party invoices
• Perform NAV pack and returns review, management fee and performance fee review, etc

Other responsibilities

• Coordinate with auditor and tax advisor for tax filing and annual audit
• Assist in system enhancement and ad-hoc tasks

• Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting/Finance or a related discipline
• At least 4 years of corporate accounting/ auditing experience with FS exposure
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
• Good knowledge of International Accounting Standards and US GAAP, tax, and relevant statutory rules and regulations

• Build and maintain detailed company models as directed by the Portfolio Managers
• Conduct fundamental research into companies, industries, and sectors
• Attend conferences and industry events
• Initiate and develop primary industry contacts, and build relationships with the relevant Sell-Side Analyst and Research Associates
• Ensure the accuracy and quality of all of the recommendation materials

• Bachelor's degree holder in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related disciplines
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Equity Research, Private Equity, Investment Banking, Investment Management, Hedge Fund, Asset Management, or equivalent industry
• Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail and strong accounting knowledge
• Demonstrate ability to build financial models and conduct in-depth bottom-up fundamental research
• Strong analytical skills and ability to think independently about stocks and industries
• Ability to articulate and defend investment thesis through both written and verbal communications
