We are seeking an experienced and connected Principal Consultant to join our team in Hong Kong with a focus on private sector financial institutions (PSFIs). This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business in a senior role, and brings access to ERM's worldwide network of experts, best practices, and learning opportunities. The role also offers a potential ‘pathway to partnership’.

Key service areas that you would help build and deliver include:

• Environmental & Social Due Diligence, with emphasis on value creation opportunities.

• Green/Social/Sustainability-Linked financial product frameworks and SPOs.

• International standard environmental & social due diligence, e.g., ref. EP4, IFC PS, ADB ESS.

• PSFI and portfolio company ESG strategy advisory including materiality assessment, science-based and Net Zero GHG targets, and roadmap development and implementation.

• Reporting services including inter alia UN PRI and EU SFDR.

Familiarity with emerging Natural Capital services for PSFIs would be a bonus.

You will be expected to help build and develop a team of consultants.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPECTATIONS

• Master’s degree in a relevant science, engineering, or business discipline preferred.

• Minimum 12 years’ business development and execution experience in the above services.

• Experience in people and project management.

• Strong communication skills in written / spoken English and Cantonese and/or Mandarin.

• Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision

Business Function Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels. Principal Responsibilities • Work with different line managers to develop IT budget including review and consolidate all the budget proposals in a highly accurate manner and comply with company's policies • Provide sound financial management including periodical forecast, strategic cost management and expense analysis and monitoring to ensure it stays within budget • Prepare financial reports to assist management to make financial decisions • Provide business management support in relation to headcount, scorecard, risk control, strategy planning and other ad hoc duties assigned • Conduct risk monitoring in areas related to general ledger movements tracking and outsourcing governance within the department • Participates in the execution of changes to procedures, policies and systems to facilitate company's strategy implementation Requirements • University degree holder in in business, accounting, finance, economics, or related field • Minimum 5 years of working experiences in banking industry and in related area of expertise • Financial management knowledge • Experience with data visualization tools and techniques • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formula creation, pivot tables, and charting • Specialized in IT budgeting is an advantage • Good communication skills in both Chinese & English Apply Now We offer a competitive salary and benefits package and the professional advantages of a dynamic environment that supports your development and recognises your achievements.
