Your new company This top-tier bank is looking for an experienced Compliance expert to act as the Assistant Compliance Manager in guiding the team. Your new role As a crucial member of the team, you will report to the team head and monitor the compliance control of the Bank across all businesses. Develop and maintain a comprehensive compliance framework, including policies, procedures, and controls. Conduct compliance risk assessments and implement appropriate mitigation strategies on all business matters. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as internal control, compliance, and operations, to ensure consistency and alignment on compliance matters. Liaise with regulators, including HKMA, SFC and IA, etc. Conduct regular compliance training for employees. Prepare and submit timely compliance reports to senior management and regulatory bodies as required. What you'll need to succeed Minimum of 3 years of experience in compliance roles within the banking industry, with a focus on regulatory compliance / compliance assurance. Strong knowledge of regulations, including but not limited to, HKMA and SFC regulations. Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, and Mandarin proficiency is an advantage. Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive reviews of insurance products, including policy wordings, endorsements, and riders, to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. Collaborate with product development teams to provide compliance guidance and support during the design and development of new insurance products. Analyze and interpret complex regulatory requirements and industry standards to identify potential compliance issues and recommend appropriate actions. Review marketing materials, including brochures, websites, and advertisements, to ensure compliance with disclosure requirements and prevent misleading or deceptive practices. Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and industry guidelines related to insurance products and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders. Develop and implement compliance training programs for employees involved in insurance product development, marketing, and distribution. Conduct compliance audits and assessments to identify areas of non-compliance and make recommendations for corrective actions. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as legal, risk management, and product teams, to address compliance issues and implement effective compliance controls.   Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, insurance, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance product compliance, regulatory compliance, or a related role within the insurance industry. Candidates with little product compliance experience but possess insurance regulatory compliance experience are also welcome. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and apply them to insurance product compliance. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex compliance concepts to non-compliance professionals. Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
