About the Job

As Hex Trust is growing rapidly and looking to expand its business into multiple jurisdictions, we are seeking professionals in the IT GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) space to support our Information Security Team. Your role will involve assisting the company in several areas, including IT Regulatory Affairs, Security Certifications, Policy and Process Design, IT Control and Assurance, and Audit Engagement Coordination. You should have a high-level understanding of various technology functions, processes, and concepts. We expect you to possess strong communication skills, excellent stakeholder management capabilities, and the ability to deliver results with high precision.

Responsibilities

• Develop IT policies, standards, and procedures in accordance with industry best practices, relevant technologies, regulatory requirements, and standards.
• Act as the point of contact for IT Regulatory Affairs and Client Due Diligence Questionnaires.
• Review and revamp existing IT policies to ensure alignment with industry best practices and standards. Lead SOC 2 and ISO accreditations, obtaining and maintaining various IT and security compliance certifications.
• Evaluate and manage capabilities that enable the organization to reliably achieve its objectives, address uncertainty, and act with integrity, making the organization more responsive and efficient overall.
• Manage audit findings remediation to mitigate risks.
• Coordinate external assessment requests related to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Act as the primary responsible party to drive and ensure policy compliance.
• Perform and manage regular information security and control assessments to ensure compliance with information security policies and standards.
• Identify and address information security risks and requirements to protect the organization from adversity, surprises, and weaknesses.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cyber Security, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders in English.
• 2 to 5 years of work experience in at least one of the following areas such as IIT Audit & Risk Assurance, IT Risk & Control, IT Governance & Compliance
• Experience with at least one of the following frameworks and regulatory requirements is preferred:
• VARA/UAE Central Bank / Securities & Commodities Authority / MAS Technology Risk Management Guidelines and Cyber Hygiene Notice
• NIST Cybersecurity Framework
• ISO 27001 / 27002 / 27701
• SOC 2 / AICPA Trust Service Criteria
• GDPR
• Strong knowledge of Information Systems, IT Operations, ITSM, and IT Audit
• Strong problem-solving and project execution skills
• Basic understanding of technology concepts such as DevOps, DevSecOps, Cloud Computing, Blockchain, and Cryptography
• A strong sense of ownership and a self-driven mindset
• Certification holder or exam passer in one or more of the following: CIPP, CIPT, ISEB Certificate in Data Protection, CISA, ISO 27001, CCAK, CRISC, CISM, or CISSP

About the Job

Hex Technologies Pte Ltd received the Major Payment Institution (MPI) in-principal approval license in July 2024 and, as one of the first custodians to receive the MPI license, the Compliance Officer (CO) will responsible for day-to-day compliance works and operations in our Singapore office and help ensure compliance risks are identified and adequately mitigated in both Singapore and at the Group company level. In addition, the CO will also help with the planning, implementation and oversight of the Governance-related responsibilities of the Compliance department, including but not limited to, reporting requirements for internal and external parties.

Responsibilities:

• Manage compliance risk strategies, policies and frameworks at local and group level;
• Monitor and assess compliance with the laws, regulations and policies of Singapore and the MAS;
• Provide inputs to the Head of Legal & Compliance and management team on ongoing licensing requirements and best practices of processes at group level;
• Implementation and processing of compliance controls and risk management activities;
• Manage regulatory reporting;
• Direct reporting to the Head of Legal and Compliance;
• Carry out awareness briefing and staff training on regulatory requirements, company policies and procedures;
• Liaison with regulators, auditors and law enforcement. Oversee compliance reviews and investigations;
• Review marketing materials prior to publication;
• Verify and ensure documentation is complete prior to onboarding of clients;
• Perform investigative work on suspicious transactions and/or activities for both fiat and cryptocurrency transactions;
• Manage and review all transaction alerts within target timelines, and where appropriate, prepare Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) to the relevant Authorities.

• At least 7 years experience in a compliance role in a financial institution, digital assets company or in a regulated industry with a mix of regulatory compliance and AML/CFT compliance;
• Regulatory exposure to the MAS or commensurate overseas regulator;
• Relevant experience as a MLRO/Deputy MLRO highly preferred;
• Familiar with the Payment Services Act particularly PSN01 and PSN02, and related regulatory requirements issued by the MAS;
• Bachelor in Business, Accounting, Finance, Legal, or other relevant discipline;
• Advanced degrees of certifications (e.g. CAMS, ICA, CCAS) are a plus;
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a global team;
• Hands-on approach and inquisitive mind.

Control Risks VANTAGE is seeking a dynamic, experienced leader to lead our APAC operations. VANTAGE is a global practice, but we recognise the necessity for a senior figure to elevate our activities in the region to enhance research output, foster engagement with senior colleagues across practices, and drive local client relationships within the financial sector in Hong Kong and China, and elsewhere in the region.

Operating across APAC, the role will oversee the teams and shape the future operational strategy for VANTAGE. Reporting to the Global VANTAGE Partner in London, this role is a pivotal link between our global vision and regional execution.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Operational strategy and excellence

• Working closely with the VANTAGE Global Partner, take leadership of VANTAGE activity in the APAC region, with oversight of three research teams of up to  30 people
• Have direct leadership of regional diligence research team, and dotted line management over other non-diligence team members, specifically client services in Singapore, and regional sales professionals.
• Work closely with VANTAGE Global Research Director to drive operational strategy among local diligence team, and ensure relevant capability, methodologies, capacity management, and team suitability and balance to deliver the highest levels of quality output for varying client needs and reporting types.
• Run training, develop capacity, and introduce best practices to handle anticipated capital market and FI diligence work in region.
• Work closely with VANTAGE Global Head of Client Services to ensure client service best practice in the region.
• Work closely with Control Risks APAC leadership in influencing regional strategy, including China-specific research, operational, data and privacy challenges, and potential future resourcing in new locations such as Malaysia.
• Work closely with leadership of other practices in APAC to maximize commercial opportunities and collaboration

 Regional Commercial focus

• The Head of VANTAGE APAC will focus on expanding engagement with Hong Kong and China-based FIs. This entails developing new product and pricing strategies in collaboration with both senior VANTAGE colleagues and the wider Control Risks business to significantly boost our presence in this market
• The Head of VANTAGE APAC will assist in commercial activities across the region, collaborating with regional VANTAGE commercial teams, Markets & Partnerships/Account Management teams, and colleagues in other practices. Highlighting the value of VANTAGE and its solutions to win work effectively.
• Drive sales growth by positioning VANTAGE as the top provider of compliance due diligence and screening products. Ensure high-quality outputs are delivered promptly and invoices are processed efficiently, enhancing third-party confidence in our offering
• Elevate VANTAGE’S brand as a leading compliance and diligence solution both internally and externally. Drive new commercial opportunities by advocating for VANTAGE’ prominence in the market
• Have dotted line management of all VANTAGE commercial members in the region – be that CSMs or Sales people.
• Support commercial teams as needed negotiating proposals and contracts with customers and ensure their profitability
• Provide subject-matter expertise to geo-market leaders across the region
• Monitor market changes to identify new opportunities
• Cross-selling of other Control Risks services as and when appropriate

Product and service development

• Work with the global leadership team to drive ongoing innovation of the product and servicing through constant engagement with the market and clients

Essential

• Bachelor’s degree (master’s degree preferred)

• Demonstrate industry experience in due diligence/third party compliance/investigations sector in Asia.
