Responsibilities Conduct thorough reviews (investigation and reporting) when financial crime red flags are identified Ensure that disposition comments, as outlined in the AML/CFT policies and procedures, are complete and of high quality Adhere to prescribed SLAs to ensure timely completion of reviews. Identify process and control deficiencies, and improve risk-mitigating control procedures to address any deficiencies identified by Group Audit, Compliance, and Regulators Escalate any suspicious AML risks to the appropriate personnel (e.g., Head of AFC Ops, Head of CFS, BU Heads, AML Compliance) as necessary Assist in the preparation, review, and implementation of training materials that align with Compliance guidelines on financial crimes. Conduct training sessions, if required, for the respective Business Units within Group Wholesale Banking Collaborate with the Head of AFC Ops to develop the team's technical and soft skills for exposure and career advancement Participate in financial crime-related ad-hoc projects and committees on behalf of CFS, as needed Perform other duties assigned by the Head of CFS and/or Head of AFC Ops Requirements Possess a degree in Business Administration/Finance or a related discipline in Banking Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience, focusing on wholesale banking clients, and prior experience in writing investigation reports Demonstrated expertise in risk and regulatory matters related to financial crimes risk and typologies, with the ability to identify potential risks and address them effectively Capable of providing advice to senior stakeholders based on investigative findings, exhibiting confidence, knowledge, and credibility Skilled in influencing behaviors and mindset alignment with the Bank's commitment to combating financial crimes, maintaining the highest level of integrity, and balancing commercial objectives with independent and prudent judgment Able to raise sensitive or potentially contentious issues in a constructive manner to achieve appropriate solutions. Strong skillset and extensive knowledge in name screening disposition and fraud investigations Self-motivated, collaborative, open-minded, and enthusiastic about driving new initiatives and upholding what is deemed right Proficient in written and verbal communication in both English and Cantonese Holding certifications such as AAMLP/CAMLP/CAMS/ICA or equivalent is a plus.
