Our client, a global leader in media packaging manufacturing with a growing presence in the medical packaging manufacturing sector, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Production Manager to oversee the link between product design in Hong Kong and production in their factories located in Canada and Poland. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing production across multiple plants and a deep understanding of the manufacturing industry, particularly in plastic injection molding.

This is a newly created position that focuses on management responsibilities, but requires a strong technical background in manufacturing. Our client offers a competitive salary, 13th-month pay, discretionary bonuses, and relocation support to Hong Kong for the successful candidate. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a global company that supplies products to major clients in the media and healthcare packaging industries, with a strong presence in Hong Kong, the Canada, and Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the key liaison between the product design team in Hong Kong and the production teams in Canada and Poland
Ensure seamless communication and coordination across different locations to optimize production processes
Implement strategies to improve efficiency and productivity in the manufacturing plants
Collaborate with top management to align production goals with overall business objectives
Communicate with customers and maintain strong relationships
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in both media packaging and medical manufacturing

Requirements:

Degree in mechanical engineering, production engineering, production management, or equivalent
Minimum 10 years of solid experience in managing manufacturing operations, preferably in plastics injection (excluding the toy industry)
Experience in injection molding processes and knowledge of plastic materials (preferred)
Knowledge of industrial automation systems (preferred)
Proven ability to manage production across multiple plants and coordinate with design teams
Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese
Willingness to be based in Hong Kong and travel to production facilities in Canada and Poland every few months

About the role

What you need to do

Lead the team on works/projects, overseeing progress towards goals, and coaching team members as needed.
Enforcement of project discipline, monitoring of project quality, prioritization of project requests and reporting of project status
Participate in all phases of the SDLC and carry out professional coding on business logic, data modelling and API development
Actively support a quality automatic testing solution for various environments
Assure product quality in terms of functionality, performance, and usability
Follow best practices, maintain and support the application services with high stability to sustain business operations

Degree in Computer Science or related disciplines
Ideally 5+ years of experience in commercial software development
Strong command of Python and familiar with Django frameworks
Experience with SQL and relational database / REST APIs / SaaS platform and authentication is an advantage
Experience with source control like Git, or GitLab
Familiar with Mac OS, Linux

The Senior Manager, Key Account & Field Support is responsible for leading and managing a team to ensure the service field activities for the assigned key accounts are carried out effectively in accordance with the Company’s standards, code requirements and contract requirements.

Job responsibilities:

Plan, organize and manage a team to execute maintenance contracts and repair contracts for the assigned area in accordance with the Company’s standards, code requirements and contract requirements.
Drive field quality, code compliance and safety to achieve customer satisfaction and to support business growth.
Manage cost through effective and efficient allocation of resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials etc.
Establish and maintain good relationship with customers and ensure effective communication and quick response to customers regarding any enquires/complaints.
Execute and implement Company’s policy and government regulations on Environmental, Health and Safety to ensure the related policy, regulations and precautions are being enforced.
Develop and implement improvement initiatives on employee safety, code compliance, quality and cost management.
Coach and develop a team of diverse employees to become a professional and high performing team.
Engage the team to build strong teamwork and support field team to resolve any challenges so as to achieve job satisfaction
Liaise and coordinate with other sections / department to ensure the service activities are operated smoothly.

Job requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline
At least 12 years’ relevant working experience in the lift industry with 6 years’ leadership experience
A Registered Lift/Escalator Engineer preferred
Strong leadership skill with ability to develop and lead a diverse team
Passionate in driving continuous improvement and taking up new challenges
Strong customer-centric mindset and business acumen
Able to cope with pressure with excellent influencing skill
Proven technical knowledge and skill with strong problem-solving skill
Proficient in both written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
