The Program:

Burson HK Internship Program is a paid internship, where the duration of the internship can be customized from 3 months to 12 months, part-time or full-time. During the internship, students will work closely with different levels of the client servicing team to gain experience in public relations. Every intern will be led by a mentor who gives feedback, guidance and support to ensure students make the most out of the program.

Job Responsibilities:

• Track PR initiative outcomes, and coverage and prepare performance reports for clients.
• Identify and maintain media lists
• Assist in content development and translation including press releases, op-eds, pitching notes, media invitations, etc.
• Support PR events organisation and coordination
• Assist in developing actionable insights for clients by conducting desktop research on key market trends, audience insights, and competitive activities.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas for new business proposals or new campaigns

• Completed 2nd year at university or above, major in Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English or Translation related is preferred;
• Can work at least two and a half days a week for at least three months; full-time is preferred
• Outstanding verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese);
• Ability to work both independently and as a team;
• Enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced and result-oriented environment
• Good problem-solving and time-management skills

What you need to do

• Collaborate with the Transformation team to maintain and ensure the smooth operation of deployed RPA (Robotic Process Automation) workflow.
• Assist in monitoring and troubleshooting software robots to identify and resolve any issues or exceptions.
• Support the testing and debugging of software robots to ensure their accuracy and efficiency.
• Assist in the identification and implementation of opportunities for process optimization and improvement within the RPA environment.

• Current degree student in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology or related discipline.
• Strong interest in automation technologies. Previous knowledge or experience with RPA is not a must, but a self-learner who is eager to develop skills in this area is preferred.
• Basic understanding of programming concepts and experience with any programming language (e.g., Python, C#) is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.

·       Data / Actuarial Analyst position within a Reinsurance Company 

·       Position based in Hong Kong

A unique opportunity exists to become part of our Life & Health actuarial reserving team dedicated to ensuring the Life & Health business holds sufficient and prudent reserves in line with regulatory requirements and actuarial guidance while delivering key financial reporting requirements on a timely basis.

Work will include:

·       Support the delivery of all internal and external (including regulatory) reporting covering monthly, quarterly, and annual requirements.

·       Support the development of the L&H actuarial models and policy model points covering all key reporting bases (including HK Statutory, IFRS 4, IFRS 17 and HK RBC).

·       Perform data analysis, experience studies and other actuarial analysis in respect of proposed methodology & assumption changes.

·       Ad-hoc support – you will provide support across other analytical areas including Asset and Liability monitoring, data analysis, process improvement and automation of data flows, etc.

We are looking for highly motivated individuals pursuing a degree in actuarial science, data science, data engineering, statistics, or other numerate discipline.

Candidates should have the following qualities:

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving ability 

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

·       Interest in the insurance/reinsurance industry

·       Articulate, flexible in working to deadlines, adapt at working with process and the ability to communicate findings

·       Experience in data manipulation using MS Excel, MS Access or SQL

·       Experience with programming in Python, VBA, C++ or SQL is a plus 

·       Experience in Actuarial Software (RiskAgility Financial Modeller, Prophet) is a plus 

·       Actuarial exam is a plus, but not a must
