Management Trainee

The Programme:

Our MT program is designed to nurture competent and professional management people for the future business developments of Konew FinTech Group. Objectives of the program are training and developing management professional specific to the mortgage loan business, and to equip the incumbent with general management skills to meet the future developments of Konew FinTech Group through the job rotation and the mentorship program.

During the program, the incumbent will rotate among the different core functions of the Company to familiarize with the internal operations and the mortgage market environment. Upon successful completion of the program, incumbent will be assigned to take up middle-management position, that fits his/ her interests, skills and ambitions. Throughout the training, the incumbent will be mentored by experienced leaders, guiding through the incumbent career journey to make sure the incumbent goals are being met.

Job Responsibilities:

Corporate Accounting

• Handle full sets of accounts including but not limited to financial and management reporting, AR, AP, management fee records, bank reconciliation, etc
• Prepare monthly end close, prepare management report and FRR reporting in a timely manner and in compliance with local regulations
• Monitor the liquid capital on a monthly basis
• Prepare consolidation package, including all necessary consolidation adjustments and eliminations 
• Prepare consolidated cashflow forecast and annual budget

Fund Accounting

• Process vendors' invoices for the fund and corporation
• Work with fund administrator on non-trading expenses bookings and payments for third-party invoices
• Perform NAV pack and returns review, management fee and performance fee review, etc

Other responsibilities

• Coordinate with auditor and tax advisor for tax filing and annual audit
• Assist in system enhancement and ad-hoc tasks

• Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting/Finance or a related discipline
• At least 4 years of corporate accounting/ auditing experience with FS exposure
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese

Reception and Office Management

• Handle office main line, screen calls, and provide client support
• Manage meeting rooms, common areas, and office visitors
• Maintain office equipment and manage office supplies
• Administer office security system and manage access cards
• Coordinate travel requests for Hong Kong team and visitors
• Manage business cards for all employees and assist with event scheduling.
• Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers

Job Responsibilities

• Work closely with existing Risk Team and Portfolio Managers to manage and monitor risk limits for rates, FX, and fixed income asset classes and portfolios
• Provide thoughtful guidelines on setting up new trading parameters for rates, FX, and fixed income asset classes and portfolios
• Develop and implement risk management processes, reports, and toolsets to demonstrate best-in-class risk management practices
• Work closely with business teams including operations and investor relations teams to communicate portfolio strategies, risk allocation, and P&L attribution
• Conduct market research, cross-asset correlation, and projection under different market scenarios

• 5-8+ years in risk management or portfolio management from either the sell side or the buy side
• Strong understanding of Relative Value strategies
• In-depth knowledge of rates/ FX/ fixed income derivative instruments, pricing routine, Greeks, risk factor simulation, VaR analysis, and trading practices
• Previous trading experience preferred
• An educational background in a quantitative or statistical discipline is required

• Work with various business functions in a dynamic hedge fund environment
• Optimize daily information flow and margin utilization across hedge fund counterparties
• Interface with quantitative trading teams to gain an understanding of trading and risk management processes

Job Responsibilities

• Regularly update and maintain compliance policies
• Compliance housekeeping matters – Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to compliance activities, including PA trading and conflicts
• Monitor and assess compliance risks associated with the company's activities
• Responsible for trade surveillance – pre and post-trade monitoring, trade error review, and trade incident investigation and reporting
• Conduct compliance training programs for employees to enhance awareness and understanding of compliance obligations
