The Role:

• The objective of this role is to work closely with the HR Team in assisting the full spectrum of frontline recruitment activities including but not limited to cv screening, managing job posting status from job boards, and interview arrangements. You will also be responsible for providing support in data entry, document filing, and verifying attendance information for employees to the HR Department as assigned.

About the Role

We're now looking for a dynamic Assistant Manager to join The Pizza Project Central, the buzzing flagship of our pizza restaurant for the people, on lively Peel Street.

As an Assistant Manager, you will support the Restaurant Manager in running a top-quality, high-volume venue. You will ensure the team is well-trained and motivated and consistently delivers our guests a friendly, approachable, caring and informed service experience. You will be identifiable as a manager whilst on the floor, greeting guests and dealing with any issues.

The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, has at least one year's experience as an assistant manager in a highly regarded restaurant, and is a hands-on, floor-based manager who enjoys being guest-facing.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth implementation and execution of the restaurant operations.
• Provide training to the team to deliver the highest quality of service and sustain the brand image.
• Implement marketing activities to drive sales and revenue for the restaurant.
• Control stocks for daily use in restaurant to ensure service requirements are met
• Supervise and coordinate the prompt, high-standard, efficient and courteous serving of food and beverages in the restaurant.
• Manage and store vendors' contracts and invoices.
• Support the Restaurant Manager in coordinating various activities such as hiring and training, arranging schedules and guest requirements.
• Arrange for new employees' proper onboarding (scheduling training and ordering uniforms)
• Monitor compliance with safety and hygiene regulations.
• Gather guests' feedback, respond accordingly, and resolve guest complaints.

Job Responsibilities:

Corporate Accounting

• Handle full sets of accounts including but not limited to financial and management reporting, AR, AP, management fee records, bank reconciliation, etc
• Prepare monthly end close, prepare management report and FRR reporting in a timely manner and in compliance with local regulations
• Monitor the liquid capital on a monthly basis
• Prepare consolidation package, including all necessary consolidation adjustments and eliminations 
• Prepare consolidated cashflow forecast and annual budget

Fund Accounting

• Process vendors' invoices for the fund and corporation
• Work with fund administrator on non-trading expenses bookings and payments for third-party invoices
• Perform NAV pack and returns review, management fee and performance fee review, etc

Other responsibilities

• Coordinate with auditor and tax advisor for tax filing and annual audit
• Assist in system enhancement and ad-hoc tasks

• Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting/Finance or a related discipline
• At least 4 years of corporate accounting/ auditing experience with FS exposure
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
• Good knowledge of International Accounting Standards and US GAAP, tax, and relevant statutory rules and regulations

About the Role

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Actuarial Valuation: Support to manage the IFRS 17 financial reporting on a regular basis, ensure detailed analysis on the movements in key financials and identify the underlying key drivers for the financial results; Support to manage the auditor engagement for regular reporting
• Financial Management: Support to prepare the annual budget exercise, perform regular forecast on financial KPIs, highlight the risks and opportunities as part of financial management for meeting Group’s financial objectives; Assess the impacts from assumption changes to facilitate the decisions
• Governance & Controls: Ensure best practice for process & controls, process being clearly documented audit trail of actuarial valuations including data, models, assumptions and analysis to support the delivery of high-quality financial results and analysis
• Ad-hoc Analysis: Perform the ad-hoc analysis, deep-dive analysis or impact assessment to reveal the financial implications; Identify areas on improving the efficiency and optimizing the reporting process through process enhancement and automation

Minimum Job Requirements:

• University / College graduate in Actuarial Science or related disciplines
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
• Good progress in Actuarial professional examination
• Knowledge in insurance products and IFRS 4 / IFRS 17 will be an asset
• Ability to investigate complex technical issues and communicate the findings and implications
• Proficiency in Actuarial Software – Prophet, especially Prophet ALS is a plus
• Sound knowledge in IFRS 17-related actuarial and accounting system, e.g. SAS sub-ledger is a plus
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
• Proficient in MS Office and data analysis techniques is essential
