Position Summary

Digital Asset Custody provides clients with a highly secure technology environment in which to hold the private keys to their virtual assets, including cryptocurrencies, tokens, stablecoins, NFTs etc.  Different wallet options are available, providing variable levels of accessibility vs security depending on the requirements of individual clients. A number of ancillary services are offered which can provide additional returns to custody clients. In addition, technological solutions are offered to clients to provide a system platform which can be operated either on Hex Trust’s infrastructure or installed “on prem” under the complete control of the client.  

The objective of the role is to define an evolving, market-leading suite of products and services to satisfy clients’ developing requirements in a competitive and cost-effective manner. At a strategic level this involves analysing the blockchain industry, the market and competitor trends and helping position the Hex Trust product suite to be first-to-market, competitive, scalable and profitable.  On a more tactical level it involves working with Technology, Operations and potential or existing clients to find practical and workable solutions to “here and now” requirements.  

The role ideally requires an understanding of the custody business in both traditional and virtual asset environments since the principles underlying custody are broadly similar in both. A sound understanding of the technical aspects of blockchain’s underlying foundations is required to enable different options to be effectively evaluated. 

The role requires both analytical and creative capabilities, on the one hand working with various parties to identify detailed solutions, prepare client and internal proposals and gain management approval for variations from core capabilities where commercially viable, while on the other hand identifying creatively how existing functionality might be used to provide innovative solutions without the need for development.  The role will involve dealing with new situations in a rapidly evolving environment.  A working knowledge of key operational controls, regulatory requirements, risk identification and management will be highly beneficial, as will awareness of cybersecurity principles .  

Our Custody platform, Hex Safe, also serves as one of the building blocks for added-value services and the role involves liaison with other Products such as Trading and Financing  to determine how Hex Safe can best be used to complement these products without compromising its key features or controls.  Bundled products are also areas in which the jobholder will use his/her business acumen to propose new pricing structures and project commercial strategies.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Understand client needs and requirements through direct and indirect engagement with key clients
• Prepare and propose custody solutions in line with the market and the overall company strategy
• Contribute to the preparation of RFPs using expertise to create compelling propositions
• Analyse the service proposition of competitor custodians and propose route map for gap closure where necessary
• Liaise with Technology, Operations and other departments to scope out new and amended products and obtain development estimates 
• Propose priorities for new and enhanced services using commercial and technical acumen in an environment of finite resources
• Prepare Product proposals for consideration by senior management
• Perform market research and analysis on competitor/comparable products
• Bring new ideas and solutions to the table, become a thought partner to the business teams
• Help to manage the trade-off between fulfilling a specific client need vs. making a product that can address broader market needs
• Leverage technical know-how to  address clients requests in a creative way
• Continuously assess current product portfolio on its value proposition to clients and identify areas of improvement early on
• Assist in maintaining the Custody team’s roadmap and milestones, and dependencies with strategic priorities in mind

The ideal profile will ideally include the following:

• Be a motivated and resourceful self-starter who is also a team player
• Be comfortable interfacing external counterparties (clients, partners, vendors)
• Experience in interacting with B2B clients to understand their needs
• Knowledge of the Custody industry, ideally both traditional and digital
• Good understanding of the technical principles of the blockchain/digital asset industry, including private key management
• Understanding of the lifecycle of digital assets and how a digital custodian manages asset events such as airdrops, forking, staking, etc.
• Be able to work to agreed timelines and deliverables
• Be both creative and analytical
• Ideally candidates should have relevant Product Management experience in range from 3-5 years of experience.

Job Purpose:
 

The Product Manager has overall responsibility for achieving the sales and profit targets for the related product groups and creating the highest return for both TD SYNNEX and the vendor. While responsible for revenue outcomes, this is a sales enablement position. This will be achieved through marketing programs, sales training, sales support, technical pre-sales support, vendor contract and vendor relationship. These activities, especially sales and marketing are targeted at both the TD SYNNEX extended sales team and the partner community.

Position Summary

Deliver feature-rich, technology-driven, robust and quality software applications and systems. Work closely with the business and tech teams to drive communication, understanding and consent of requirements and acceptance criteria in all aspects of the digital platform and software systems.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform market research and analysis on competitor/comparable products.
• Identifying and designing new products, focusing on the business value provided to clients
• Deeply understand client needs via close interactions, whenever possible and with business and client facing teams in HexTrust. Ask probing questions to clients to understand the problem they are trying to solve and their need, even if not explicitly and clearly expressed
• Bring new ideas and solutions to the table, become a thought partner to the business teams
• Calibrate the trade-off between fulfilling a specific client need vs. making a product that can properly address similar needs of multiple clients. Product vs. tailor made trade-off
• Continuously assess current product portfolio on its value proposition to clients and identify areas of improvement early
• Define features, write product specifications, facilitate user studies, iterate on feedback, help write test plans with QA, manage the backlog, and ultimately ship products/features in a timely manner.
• Create and maintain the team’s roadmap, milestones, and dependencies with strategic priorities in mind.
• Prioritize initiatives and projects appropriately and weigh tradeoffs that must be made
• Perform the product owner role in agile teams
• Define features, write product specifications, facilitate user studies, iterate on feedback, help write test plans with QA, manage the backlog, and ultimately ship products/features in a timely manner.
• Manage specific features within a product line; nurture and lead Junior team members.

• Ideally candidates should have relevant Product manager experience in range from 3-5 years of experience.
• Some experience in trading products is strongly preferred
• Some experience with blockchain is strongly preferred
• Experience in interacting with B2B clients to understand their needs
• Experience in techniques such as focus groups, conjoint analysis would be beneficial. May not necessarily be used in Hex Trust, but will be a valuable background while interacting with clients and business teams, to drive productive conversations
• Experience as product owner in agile teams is a valuable plus
• A data informed work style, viewed through a compassionate lens of the user
• A passion for building delightful customer facing products and experiences
• Experience shipping and iterating on successful Software or Financial products at scale
• Demonstrated leadership, taking initiative and producing results
• The ability to collaborate well with designers, engineers, QA, Marketing, compliance, growth
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

About the Role

Roles and Responsibilities:

Product Development

• Propose and develop multi-asset fund solutions to grow AIAHK’s investment-linked and pension business through partnering with AIAHK’s MPF & ILAS teams as well as Group Investment’s Unit-linked and Pension Business team in Singapore.
• Draft and present fund product proposal to enhance AIMHK product range and competitiveness. 

Product Management & Coordination

• Coordinate internal departments and external parties in relation to the development and ongoing management of AIMHK’s fund products.
• Act as a de-facto project manager to plan, manage and coordinate new fund launching as well as existing fund revamping processes.

Product Communication & Advisory

• Represent AIMHK to communicate fund product features to internal agents, external brokers and end-customers through face-to-face meetings and virtual media.
• Lead the development of AIMHK's product brochure, fund factsheet, investment-related marketing collateral & training materials.

Product Intelligence

• Act as a specialized source of market intelligence on competitors’ product feature and fund performance as well as trends of new product development.
• Compile and analyze market intelligence on competitors' product positioning and features.  Update senior members of AIMHK and other stakeholders of AIAHK on the development of fund industry's competitive landscape. 

Stakeholder Management

• Establish good rapport with stakeholders within AIA Group, including AIAHK (e.g. ILAS & MPF teams), Group Investment (e.g. GULPB) and AIAIM in Singapore. 
• Provide investment fund related supports to the AIAT and ILAS teams of AIAHK. 

Minimum Job Requirements:

• At least 15 years of experience in fund product development, investment research, asset management and/or investment advisory.
• Postgraduate qualification in Finance, Economics or business-related subjects.
• Investment-related professional qualification (e.g. CFA or CAIA).
• Holders of SFC license 1, 4 or 9.
• Good understanding of MPF and SFC fund-related regulatory frameworks.
• Knowledge of retail financial markets and wealth management products.
• Strong presentation and report-writing skills.  Fluency in Mandarin, Cantonese and English.
• Ability to translate competitive landscape of fund industry into AIMHK’s business strategy and product positioning.
• Good team player with strong coordination skills to work with colleagues from various cultural background.
• In-depth understanding of fund analytic tools such as Morningstar, Bloomberg and/or Lipper.
• Experience in managing project-based works.
