About the Role
Responsible for providing actuarial services covering all aspects of the insurance business and financial control, including valuation calculations, statutory reporting, risk assessment and premium setting
Roles and Responsibilities
- Oversee valuation, experience studies, business plan, budget, statutory regulatory reporting, investment policy & investment decisions;
- Lead implementation of the International Financial Reporting Standards;
- Lead implementation of Risk Based Capital regime;
- Oversee asset-liability management, investment policy & investment decisions, business plan, budget;
- Provide and develop solutions/strategies (reinsurance services, group business, direct marketing, bancassurance, full/simplified underwriting products, underwriting services/software) to facilitate distribution channels to attract new business;
- Drive learning culture and people development in the Actuarial Department
Job Requirement
- Qualified Actuary or equivalent
- Over 10 years of experience
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics. Master's degree preferred.
- Experience on General insurance, HK RBC, IFRS 17
- Strategic thinking and good problem solving skill
- Leadership & Teamwork Orientation
- Strong Communication skills across all spectrums
- Effective project management skill
