As a Product Designer at Kody, you'll be the voice for our merchants, their teams, customers, and our internal users, all while prioritising human-centered design. From conceptualisation to implementation, you’ll develop user-friendly solutions that smooth out any bumps and enhance the overall experience, guided by data and research.

The location of this job is in Hong Kong. The role will be hybrid, but we will expect you top come to our office a few times a week to work with our local tech team.

About the team

You'll be teaming up closely with our Head of Product Design in the UK, who's busy shaping our design team to enhance all our product work streams. Get ready to jump into an exciting product squad setup, where you'll play a vital role in everything Kody, from payments and banking to loyalty and onboarding.

Our tech team, made up of around 25 talented individuals, works remotely, primarily from the UK. You'll dive into daily standups with your squad, fostering discussions about your design choices to keep you engaged. Plus, you'll have the chance to collaborate with our quality assurance team to bring your creative vision to life.

About the role

• Conduct the necessary research and analysis to become an expert in the relevant domain and customer segment.
• Take full ownership of the product specification, information architecture, user flows and user experience of the project you’re working on.
• Validate and iterate your design and usability hypotheses by building rapid UX prototypes and testing to ensure the project prioritises and delivers against their needs.
• Deliver the corresponding UI visual designs, transitions and animations to a ‘best-in-class’ standard.
• Liaise with the engineering teams to support the development process, review builds and ensure the final product meets your design expectations.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of design practice, process and tooling including the design system.
• Build a relationship with our sales and customer success teams to ensure their product marketing needs are met relating to new releases that you’ve worked on.

You must have

• 2+ years of experience in product or commercial UX/UI design.
• Proficiency in Figma for creating high-fidelity designs and prototypes.
• A human-centered design approach and a knack for research.
• Strong communication skills to explain your design choices.

What you’ll be doing

The Payment Product Owner will be responsible for leading the development and management of payment-related products to ensure that these products meet the needs of global users and are competitive in the market.

Product Design and Planning

• Develop and supervise the product strategy, roadmap, and iteration plan for payment products.
• Design comprehensive product solutions, including processes, user experience, functions, and system design.
• Ensure that product design covers a wide range of payment services such as deposit, withdrawal, transfer between accounts, and payment clearing and settlement.

Global multi-level payment product design

• Be responsible for the design of deposit and withdrawal products for multiple countries, regions, and different license requirements.
• Incorporate various payment systems and solutions, including credit/debit cards, P2P, cryptocurrencies, e-wallets , and other innovative payment methods.

User Experience and Operational Efficiency

• Be responsible for the overall user experience of payment products, ensuring that they are intuitive, efficient, and secure.

• Optimize the operational efficiency of products, covering all aspects from user registration processes to transaction processing times.

Collaborate with the development department to deliver products

• Work closely with the development department according to market, company, and business needs.

• Ensure the timely delivery of competitive payment products or systems, and coordinate with the development team throughout the product life cycle to address any technical challenges or changes in requirements.

What you’ll need

• Bachelor's Degree holder or above

• More than 5 years of experience as a Fintech product manager, with at least 3 years of experience as a product manager in the financial technology industry. Experience in exchanges, e-wallets, or similar trading platforms is preferred.
• Have a proven track record in successfully developing and implementing payment systems, with successful cases in deposit and withdrawal payment channels (credit/debit cards, P2P, cryptocurrencies, e-wallets, etc.).

Do you have a keen eye for design and a passion for creating captivating consumer experiences in the retail space?

As the Visual Merchandiser, you will help shape the store's visual identity and customer experience by designing and executing creative store layouts and displays that represent our brand.

What you will be doing:

• Assist with retail design and visual merchandising, including in-store displays, pop-up stores, new & festive products, and POS materials
• Assist in the preparation of the VM proposals, design development, technical issues or installation, and also ensuring the uniformity of store display
• Ensure design elements align with the brand image and provide guidelines for future use
• Support installation and maintenance of visual displays in retail locations
• Assist in planing and set-up of new store openings, expansions, remodels, and renovations
• Stay updated on retail and design trends to enhance the in-store experience and boost customer engagement

Who we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in design, visual merchandising, architecture or related fields
• Proficient in using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
• Knowledge in 3D software (e.g. SketchUp) is a big plus
• Great design sense and creativity
• Can-do attitude with the shown ability to adapt to changes in business needs or direction
