A unique opportunity exists to become part of our Life & Health actuarial reserving team dedicated to ensuring the Life & Health business holds sufficient and prudent reserves in line with regulatory requirements and actuarial guidance while delivering key financial reporting requirements on a timely basis.

Work will include:

·       Support the delivery of all internal and external (including regulatory) reporting covering monthly, quarterly, and annual requirements.

·       Support the development of the L&H actuarial models and policy model points covering all key reporting bases (including HK Statutory, IFRS 4, IFRS 17 and HK RBC).

·       Perform data analysis, experience studies and other actuarial analysis in respect of proposed methodology & assumption changes.

·       Ad-hoc support – you will provide support across other analytical areas including Asset and Liability monitoring, data analysis, process improvement and automation of data flows, etc.

We are looking for highly motivated individuals pursuing a degree in actuarial science, data science, data engineering, statistics, or other numerate discipline.

Candidates should have the following qualities:

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving ability 

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

We are looking for an Event Operations Executive to join our agile and dynamic team based Hong Kong. This regional role will manage a wide spectrum of virtual events (e.g. Awards, conferences, trainings, bespoke events etc.) hosted by our company’s leading B2B titles, namely Risk.net, FX Markets and WatersTechnology, across Asia Pacific region.

Reporting to Event Operations Manager while working closely with the Events and Marketing Services teams, you must have excellent interpersonal skills to communicate in a clear, professional manner and deliver events within budget and tight timeline. You will handle multiple events concurrently and demonstrate your ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.

This role provides excellent exposure in client servicing as you will liaise with sponsors and vendors closely with your strong negotiation skills. You must be passionate about identifying new solutions for better event experiences.

Responsibilities

Event Execution: In-Person and Virtual

• Conduct vendor research and get quotations
• Map out project timelines and set clear deadlines
• Gather marketing collateral to develop content on virtual event platforms and distribution at in-person events
• Liaise with the AV vendor on the event logistics
• Provide technical support prior to event and on the day
• Prepare post-event report and data analysis
• Manage individual project P&Ls and keep track of all expenses

External Client Liaison

• Guide sponsors through the virtual event process and offer practical advice
• Coordinate video content creation between sponsors and video editors

Strategic Support

• Research the latest event technology in the market and share new platform alternatives that suit the business needs

• 1-2 working experience preferably in event / project management

Prenetics is looking for a highly motivated Clinical Bioinformatics Manager to join our bioinformatics team. In this role you will be responsible for analyzing NGS (Next-generation sequencing) data. You will also be responsible for supporting the clinical and bioinformatics teams to manage the queries. You will independently and proactively identify process issues and recommend solutions given critical timelines. This work is interdisciplinary and involves collaboration with lab scientists, R&D scientists, engineers and the bioinformatics team. You will have ample opportunity to significantly contribute to the development of our evolving technologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage the bioinformatics operations of the company.
• Develop and test the bioinformatics pipelines.
• Work with engineering team to deploy and manage bioinformatics workflows.
• Work with genomic and clinical scientists and software engineers to develop novel bioinformatics solutions.
• Provide Bioinformatics support to existing products
• Build and maintain genotype and phenotype databases

• Required: Masters in computer science, bioinformatics, information systems or related field with at least 2 years’ experience working in the industry is preferred.
• Required: 2+ years of experience with variety of NGS bioinformatics tools - GATK, samtools, bwa etc
• Required : 2+ years of experience with Linux/Unix system and Github
• Required: Eagerness in taking ownership of day-to-day production and support operations
• Preferred: Strong experience in analyzing variety format of sequencing data - NGS, GWAS, long-read-seq etc
• Preferred: Strong experience and detailed understanding of the statistical and algorithmic workings of modern variant calling packages
• Preferred: Experience using statistical computer language (R, Python, SQL, etc) to manipulate NGS data and draw insights
