We are the leading direct-to-consumer womenswear brand, headquartered in Singapore, with an omni-channel presence across Indonesia and Malaysia, a retail franchise in Cambodia, and are fast expanding into international markets namely Hong Kong SAR China and United States of America.
Founded in 2010, we are proudly female-founded with more than 70% female representation across our organisation, leadership and STEM roles (#girlpower!). The role
You will be responsible for operational and customer excellence, training and people development, and financial profitability for a cluster of stores. Through an establishment of a positive culture, clear expectations and policy & procedural implementation, the Area Manager actively engages and collaborates with all stakeholders to develop operational efficiency and scalability. This role will be integral to the success of Love, Bonito especially as we continue to expand our retail reach in Singapore over the next few years. Reporting directly to the Country director, you will analyse, interpret and report operational business results to ensure that the overall success of a cluster of stores is attained.

- Technical knowledge in all operational aspects of the store, including but not limited to new store opening operations planning, inventory management, sales and cash management, roster building, staff training and coaching, stock taking, and recruitment.
Main responsibilities
Team Management & Leadership
- Meet group and company KPIs by leading, coaching, and mentoring a team of Stores in Charge to strongly believe and live out the LB vision and mission
- Inspire and motivate entire store teams to work towards a collective goal through a close partnership with the leadership teams in each store
- Continuously conduct succession planning for all stores by external hiring, or foster internal career development and growth by building the skills and capabilities of existing team members
- Champion employee engagement and promote a collaborative and inclusive environment for a robust team of Part Time and Full Time girls
- Ensure compliance with the company’s policies and stance on people and operational guidelines
Retail Performance & Operational Excellence
- Responsible for P/L for the directly operated retail stores for the assigned region
- Develop and oversee the implementation of strategic initiatives designed to drive growth, profitability, customer satisfaction and operation efficiency and productivity
- Take all actions necessary to achieve sales objectives, and define best corrective actions (both short term and long term
- Work closely with Retail Operations team to continuously develop the retail processes to increase productivity and ensure efficiency in all store operations aspects
- Conduct analysis of product trends and P.O.S. potential to ensure adequate and appropriate stock levels
- Support Commercial(Merchandising) Team in the definition of product and price strategies by providing feedback from the retail stores
- Collaborate with Marketing and growth team in special events to enhance the brand image and sales;
- Partner with HQ Training to promote retail and operation training to store staff to ensure quality service is maintained within all stores
- Maintain outstanding store conditions to optimise layout and displays in-store; support brand and visual campaigns of new tacticals and launches.
- Conduct manpower resource planning for all stores; manage shift schedules and human cost budget to achieve optimal staffing levels for excellence in the brand's customer experience, according to peak hours, days, and seasonality
- Partner with People and Culture team to ensure the proper development of people in stores through the diffusion of the best practices and the direct involvement into business activities
- Undertake financial management to ensure stores are profitable and stay within budgets; provide reports and resolutions to ensure an efficient resource usage to increase profitability
- Assist the Regional Director to develop new business opportunities in both existing locations and new locations
- Build good relationships with landlords and developers
[HQ] Collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with Retail Centre of Excellence (CoE) for the brainstorming and execution of campaigns, events, and store openings
- Together with Retail CoE, identify business opportunities and actively engage in anticipating business impact or roll out plans; provide input in developing effective and scalable solutions to improve operational efficiency
- Report to senior management on progress and issues by constantly evaluating performance using key metrics and address issues to improve it

Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 7 years of experience in the retail industry, preferably in fast fashion
- Minimum 3 years of experience in managing a retail team(s) - both front and back of house
- Practical and hands-on experience of Hong Kong market with a proven track record of effective brand building initiatives and the ability to drive business goals
- Extremely customer-centric and genuinely enjoys serving and getting to know customers better
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, able to motivate and lead the retail team
- Possess high level of commercial acumen, self-initiative, strategic and analytical mindset combined with a drive for results
- Bilingual: English and Cantonese
