Job Purpose:
 

The Product Manager has overall responsibility for achieving the sales and profit targets for the related product groups and creating the highest return for both TD SYNNEX and the vendor. While responsible for revenue outcomes, this is a sales enablement position. Our client a large commercial bank is looking to hire Project Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for managing assigned product and project development initiatives to meet the productivity and growth targets of the Bank.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, including definition of milestones and deliveries to bring projects from initiation to delivery.
• Work with stakeholders and manage project resources to drive execution according to the plan.
• Monitor and report on project progress, cost, risks, issues and dependencies.
• Support the preparation and completion of project documentation according to the approved project management guideline.
• Lead and liaise with end users and IT in system implementation project.
• Ensure overall effectiveness of assigned product and project development.

A) Knowledge, Skill & Attributes

• In-depth knowledge of a variety of banking products, finance/accounting (e.g. GL), best practices and technology, experience on internet banking implementation or operations / remittance is highly advantageous.
• Operation experience / knowledge of wholesale banking business in China (e.g. working experience in Chinese local bank in Mainland China).
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Excellent project portfolio management and leadership skills.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Fluent Putonghua).
• Willing to work under pressure and overtime.

B) Academic and Professional Qualification

• Degree holder in Business, Information Technology, Project Management or related disciplines. Holder of PMP is advantage.

C) Training and Relevant Experiences

• Minimum 10 years solid experience in product support, project management, preferably gained from banking sector.
• Experience in implementing any banking system or operations / remittance in the bank will be an added advantage, preferable experience in PRC.
• Prior experience in system conversion and business integration project is a definite advantage.

Main responsibilities

Team Management & Leadership:

• Meet sales goals by leading, managing, mentoring, and providing feedback to a team of full-time and part-time retail associates
• Inspire and motivate team to work towards a collective goal
• Collaborate closely with all other functional team leads in particular Commercial, Operations, Marketing and People & Culture

Retail Performance & Operations:

• Customer Care, Sales & Stock Management, Visual Merchandising, Operations, Human Resources, Loss Prevention
• Drive store performance via retail strategies, customer experience, service and visual merchandising
• Manage the overall store operations to ensure a consistent and solid Love, Bonito experience, which includes daily stand-ups, retail training, customer service training, inventory management, stockroom management, order replenishments, visual merchandising, manpower planning, stock take etc.
• Conduct manpower resource planning for both permanent and temporary retail staff; manage shift schedules and retail staff budget to achieve optimal staffing levels for excellence in the brand's customer experience, according to peak hours, days, and seasonality
• Oversee general store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures, including goods receiving & transfers and cashier balancing
• Be present and operating on retail floor as floor manager
• Develop strategies to enhance the store customer experience and drive sales performance by conducting weekly business reviews to expand our customer base, increase store traffic and optimize profitability.
• Deal with all issues that arise from staff or customers (complaints, grievances etc)
• Conduct weekly business reviews with team to increase traffic, expand base, retain customers and optimize profitability
• Collaborate closely with Regional Head of Retail Operations in ensuring consistency and the roll-out of retail best practices

With a few years of experience, an Assistant Account Manager is still growing as an individual contributor, but can tackle problems and get the job done, sometimes with guidance from senior team members.

POSITION SCOPE

We will count on you to:

• Assist the consulting team in gathering, organizing, entering and analyzing data using Excel spreadsheets to be used for various client projects. Strong focus on analysis of results and managing portions of projects; reviews the work of other analysts.
• Support analysis and review including underwriting and data analytics, while partnership with actuaries to support funding analysis.
• Contribute as a member of the consulting team in developing overall client strategy, interpret and present benchmark data to client and ensure plan and program changes are properly implemented embody client’s strategy.

• Establish necessary carrier/ vendor relationships with appropriate contacts to serve clients in handling all administration (eligibility, claims, billing, plan implementation, contracts, plan changes and necessary amendments).
• Demonstrate project management and consulting skills such as managing the quality and timeliness of client deliverables. Help develop budget and billing reports, participate in calls and meetings as appropriate and assist with the preparation and delivery of clear and concise communications. Resolve most claim issues but can escalate more complex issues to senior consultants as needed.
• Gather design data from the client and current vendors needed for analyzing the impact of a client's consolidation and/ or marketing of its healthcare plans. This typically involves organizing plan design details and costs in Excel for further analysis by the team. Responsibilities also include checking data for reasonableness and follow-up with vendors regarding missing or inaccurate data.
• Learn the basics of products, services and tools. Gain an understanding of vendor/ carrier markets, basic underwriting and financial skills, products, services and technical tools and intranet resources and participate in training courses, online learning, or through learning from more experienced colleagues.

What you need to have:

• University degree or diploma in a related discipline or other relevant qualifications. 
• At least 3 years' experience in account and project management, ideally on employees’ benefits program.  Knowledge of group medical and life insurance products is preferred.
• Strong numeric and analytical background.  Commercially astute and strong business sense. 
• A track record in client and vendor management.

• Provide Regional Investment Compliance Coverage which include and not limited to the following -
• Pre-Trade Compliance –
• Provide real-time investment compliance advice on trading related matters e.g. ECM activities to front office and other business functions.
• Expert Network Calls Approval and Chaperone.
• Review of pre-trade controls exceptions and liaise with business functions to implement appropriate controls when required.
• Post-Trade Compliance –

• 7-10 years relevant experience, preferably in an equity trading hedge fund or asset manager, major regulator, broker and/or compliance consultant.
• Very good working knowledge of the market regulations for trading related activities in Asia. Knowledge of market regulations in other jurisdictions would be advantageous.
• Prior experience in compliance advisory including investment compliance monitoring and post-trade surveillance.
• Depth of experience to manage a challenging workload and tight deadlines.
