Overall Job Purpose: 

The role will have a primary focus of providing HR administration and taking an active role on all Asian market recruitment, onboarding, and employee  training, but also supporting the UK team. This role will suit someone who understands that they are first point of contact for people joining the company and understands the importance of creating active engagement touch points for employees. Building effective relationships across the business will be essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• To act as a first point of contact for all Human Resources enquires.
• To be a systems administrator for the HR database. To be able to handle all access, password, and basic user training.
• Input and update information is recorded on the HR System and other data sources. Ensure accurate HR records on all employees are maintained and regularly updated.
• To be responsible for ensuring all documents on the HR System, and Personnel files are filed promptly and accurately indexed for electronic referencing.
• Ensure the HR Database accurately reflects current staff conditions and details. This includes inputting starters and leavers, contractual amendments, change of details and family leave.
• Ensure staff records are well maintained and that periodic tidying up of records is undertaken.

Onboarding

• Ensure the process is clearly explained and documented for all starters and leavers.
• Activate new starters and ensure they are communicated to Staff Changes.

• Handle maternity letters and produce flexible working request paperwork.
• Update and monitor staff authorisation levels

Hex Technologies Pte Ltd received the Major Payment Institution (MPI) in-principal approval license in July 2024 and, as one of the first custodians to receive the MPI license, the Compliance Officer (CO) will responsible for day-to-day compliance works and operations in our Singapore office and help ensure compliance risks are identified and adequately mitigated in both Singapore and at the Group company level. In addition, the CO will also help with the planning, implementation and oversight of the Governance-related responsibilities of the Compliance department, including but not limited to, reporting requirements for internal and external parties.

• Manage compliance risk strategies, policies and frameworks at local and group level;
• Monitor and assess compliance with the laws, regulations and policies of Singapore and the MAS;

Position Summary

Summary

Hex Trust is seeking an Expression of Interest for a Custody, Staking and DeFi position. The persons in this team will primarily work to strategise, shape and bring to life new business products within the areas of digital asset Custody, Staking and DeFi. By working closely with a wide range of stakeholders, it is the key role of the team to launch and measure the success of new products that will position Hex Trust the a leading innovator in the industry.

Department Objective

The objective of the Custody, Staking, and DeFi team is to develop a market-leading suite of products and services that meet clients’ evolving requirements in a competitive and cost-effective manner. This involves analyzing the blockchain industry, market trends, and competitors to position the Hex Trust product suite as a first-to-market, competitive, scalable, and profitable solution. The team also works tactically with Technology, Operations, and clients to find practical solutions for immediate requirements.

Ideally, the new joiner requires an understanding of the Custody, Staking, and DeFi business, the technical aspects of blockchain’s foundations, and a sheer drive to succeed with the team.

Both analytical and creative capabilities are required. This includes working with various parties to identify detailed solutions, prepare proposals, and gain management approval for variations when commercially viable. Additionally, finding innovative solutions using existing functionality without the need for development is important. The team operates in a rapidly evolving environment and having knowledge of operational controls, regulatory requirements, risk management, and cybersecurity principles is highly beneficial.

Responsibilities:

• Propose, design and roll out new business products and services in line with the market and the overall company strategy
• Work with other departments to ensure for timely and smooth new product launches
• Know the ins and outs of the industry and competitors and use that knowledge to shape Hex Trust’s competitive advantage 
• Build relationships with external industry participants and leverage product and business synergies to build new products and services
• Increase operational efficiency within the team and across different teams
• Participate in ad-hoc projects, both internal and external

• Good knowledge of the blockchain industry, ideally with focus on Custody, Staking and DeFi
• Good understanding of the technical principles of the Custody, Staking and DeFi

• Ability to operate and excel in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with minimal supervision

Job Responsibilities:

Corporate Accounting

• Handle full sets of accounts including but not limited to financial and management reporting, AR, AP, management fee records, bank reconciliation, etc
• Prepare monthly end close, prepare management report and FRR reporting in a timely manner and in compliance with local regulations
• Monitor the liquid capital on a monthly basis
• Prepare consolidation package, including all necessary consolidation adjustments and eliminations 
• Prepare consolidated cashflow forecast and annual budget

Fund Accounting

• Process vendors' invoices for the fund and corporation
• Work with fund administrator on non-trading expenses bookings and payments for third-party invoices
• Perform NAV pack and returns review, management fee and performance fee review, etc

Other responsibilities

• Coordinate with auditor and tax advisor for tax filing and annual audit
• Assist in system enhancement and ad-hoc tasks

• Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting/Finance or a related discipline
• At least 4 years of corporate accounting/ auditing experience with FS exposure
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
• Good knowledge of International Accounting Standards and US GAAP, tax, and relevant statutory rules and regulations
