Responsibilities: Lead and guide a team of data scientists, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support in their professional development. Work closely with regional business stakeholders to identify strategic opportunities where data science can drive value and create competitive advantages. Develop and execute a data science roadmap, aligning it with business objectives and priorities. Apply advanced statistical modeling, machine learning techniques, and predictive analytics to analyze data across various sales channels and extract actionable insights. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including actuaries, underwriters, and claims professionals, to develop innovative solutions. Build and deploy predictive models to improve risk assessment, pricing strategies, and customer segmentation. Lead the design and implementation of data-driven experiments and A/B tests to evaluate the effectiveness of business initiatives. Communicate complex analytical findings and insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders through clear and compelling visualizations, reports, and presentations. Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in data science and insurance analytics and assess their potential applicability to the organization. Qualifications: Bachelor's or advanced degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. Proven experience (10+ years) as a data scientist or in a similar role within the financial sector, with a track record of delivering impactful data-driven solutions. Strong expertise in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning techniques, specifically applied to insurance data. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or SAS, and experience with data manipulation Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and distributed computing frameworks. Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related services. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and analytically. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards exceptional performance. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
